If PA was smart they would release BDO 2.

Crimson Desert was BDO 2. It was literately reused an recycled bdo.

And that's why it was trashed at the end. It wouldn't bring anything new.

Intrestingly last year they literaly said it to the investors, that they should not worry about their declining revenoue since their new flagship game Crimson Desert will launch in 2021.

With C2077 having problems with Console release. Same thing happend few month later with Elite Dangerous Odyssey release. PS4 is very dated specially for a new  graphical engine they are using in Crimson Desert, and the new weather effects we have seen in the trailers.  
If they are going for most profits in their debute, they will do it like C2077 did and release in both PC and Console - and that would need much more time to port properly once they have finished the game. And Covid made work extremely difficult.

Also they should have done it like C2077 and Death Stranding, get a popular Actor to promote the game. Kit Harington would have been a great choice, as main character could have looked like him.

There is still a question of how they finish the game, the C2077 style - 1 purchase and over , or Assasing Creed Valhalla style with Seasonal content adding a lot more to gameplay after release. - That's probably what they are doing now, looking for best ways to milk players after purchase cause BDO is done, people bought all the costumes they wanted, and new characters just not that OP to do rerolls anymore. And too many new MMO's coming to the market.

Yeah it got delayed at the end of covid, due to covid seems legit  /jk

(Pro tip: covid ain't afected software development in ANY way. You can work in 130% efficient from remote in this kind of jobs.)

Of course Covid affected remote jobs, in any decent company,for obvious reasons , Pearl Abyss included.

Of course script kiddies spending an evening hacking a webpage to host their grandma vacations pictures weren't affected.

Case in point, workers efficiency drop to 0% if they're not in physical position to do their jobs due to technical limitations and logistics.

But it takes actual work field knowledge to know this.

BDO is 7 years old and people still think PA is capable of producing quality products... Just lol.
