INFINITE POTION QUEST PROPOSAL
PROBLEM:
Some players are having great difficulty obtaining pieces for the infinite potions. In some cases, Up to 600+ hours are spent trying to drop one piece.
SOLUTION:
A fail safe, one time family quest, that will guarantee you obtain all three pieces. This quest will ask you to kill a number of mobs that will roughly be the same as the average hours needed to get the piece. You can either hand in your existing pieces or Kill the mobs to complete the objectives.
Finishing all 5 objectives will then reward you with the potion and its knowledge.
To make as fair as possible. We propose that this quest can only be done for either the HP potion or The Resource potion. This means that you still have to grind for one of them.
Example Quest
Quest: Ornette and J's Mercy
- Defeat 250,000 Kagtums or Give The Ashmoon Kagtunak to "NPC" (0/250,000)
- Defeat 200,000 Sherakans or Give The Sherakan's Panacea to "NPC" (0/200,000)
- Defeat 150,000 Ronaros or Give Ron's Tintinabulum to "NPC" (0/150,000)
- Give Gayak's Courage Stone or 30 Garmoth Scales to NPC
- Give Musical Spirit's Sound Stone or 300 Peridot leaves to NPC
Reward: Ornette's Spirit Essence Infinite potion + its Knowledge
(The number of kills needed is just a suggestion based on average hours)
Possible Version A: Kill a Specific monster ( Executioners - Balcadas and Garud - Guardian and Catcher / adjust kill amount for each area)
Possible Version B: Kill all mobs in that area
LONG TERM EFFECTS / COUNTER ARGUMENTS / DEVIL'S ADVOCATE:
Looking at this from all sides, we don't see any negative effects in making the potion more accessible. There will be a light at the end of the tunnel for people with really bad RNG , it helps them move on, do more content and enjoy the game, not to mention boost their survivability in pvp.
From a fiscal perspective, more people would buy Theiah's Orbs to get the Miraculous Cheer fairy skill, driving more financial support to the game.
You can also still grind for it the regular way if you prefer if you want to flex :) !.
- "What if I get my piece while grinding the fail-safe quests?" If you already have the piece or drop it during the quest, you can chat with the NPC and hand it to them to complete the objective.

- "People will quit when they get the infinite potion!" The whole reason we're after this potion is because we want to experience more of the content and not be stuck in one place.
- "Everyone having the infinite pot is going to be OP" The infinite potions are identical to the purchasable ones. They don't give any bonus stats, it will also help people with low weight on their character.
- "Giving a guaranteed way to obtain the potion will take away the special-ness of people who got it the hard way" If you did it the hard way, you have my eternal respect and admiration for your tenacity. For some of us with bad RNG, this is maybe the only way to get this treasure.
- "What if i've already grinded for 500 hrs+" Well at least now there's a light at the end of the tunnel, you'll have a guaranteed way to get your goal
-"This wouldn't be fair to the people who grinded for 500+ hrs and got their potion already!" This is by no means a hand out! we would expect the number of monsters needed to finish the quest to equal out 250-350+ hours ( According to the community, the typical experience for obtaining this potion is between 160 to 200 hours )
- "What if i already have both my potions?" I humbly bow to you , you are a god but this is for us unlucky people xD
- "The infinite pots are supposed to be uncommon treasures that are rare and not easily obtainable" With the level of commitment it would take for this proposed quest, the work load can be adjusted to make sure it's not easy, we just want a way to keep going no matter how far the target, as long as there's an end
- "What about the drop scrolls, events , the campfire buffs or any money put into these potions" Again, the ideal outcome is that you don't even need this quest (or drop the desired piece before the amount of monsters needed is completed), theoretically you'd still need to buff up, use drop events, and whatever else you may use. Except now you'll have an objective (a light at the end of the tunnel)
- Potential Exploits Normally, each potion comes with knowledge so If you possess the knowledge for either potion, then you don't even see the quest.
TLDR:
- This is a proposal for a longterm objective quest towards the infinite pots, instead of relying completely on RNG that may never pay off.

Some people...just want to see the world burn.
And some people actually paid someone to grind it for them, so just dont want YOU to have it.
I have no objections. I dont have the potion, but $150 later i still dont have cheer V either so..ill cross that bridge if i get there.
This would be a much nicer bridge I tell you that..with those fancy supports you got there an all. Protecting us players with terrible RNG. yea Id much rather cross that bridge.

I totally agree ! and like i said i don't want free stuff or not work for it, i am fully prepared to do hundreds of hours if there's something at the end of that grind you know? :)

I like the idea of there being a definite chance of getting it after doing quests, even if the quests are long because it makes getting it a guarantee instead of never getting it due to bad RNG.

it is not an obligation to have the infinite potion
You can use normal potion
the infinite potion is a comfort compared to an already existing potion
it's a treasure the rarest item in the game and you want to get it via a quest? lol?
you want to have the deboreka pen via a quest too?
have you thought about Lara?

Some players have a chance only with the rare loot
others have a chance only with PEN enhancement
If you give a quest that guarantee all the rare loot for the seconds one
then you have to give a quest that guarantee all the PEN for the first ones

I would implore you to read the whole post carefully, i am not saying make it easy, they can make it as hard as equal to 5000 hours for each piece if they wanted, i just feel like if there's something at the end of that grind, i'd feel better about being stuck in ground hog day every single day. that's all.
Lots of people get it within 10 mins of grinding , so this would be a solution for the most extreme cases of bad RNG

If there's no difference between the infinite potion and the regular potion except for weight capacity then it's not truly that special, and there should be no objections to people having help in the most horrible cases of RNG.
The compass can teleport you, the map can let you see in the desert and ocean, teleport you to a town and boomerang you to your original location , fine those are OP, i'm not asking for help with those. but the infinite potion just a question of weight , i do get my normal potions yes, i stock them in storage and warehouse and get them with my maid when i can't use my camp, but would love it if all my hard work was going towards something no matter how far it may be.
