Global Lab Update - September 24, 2021

● Martial Spirit Shard - Improved the description which explains how shards are consumed. Shards will be recovered as before.

 

Global Lab Update - October 29, 2021

Main Weapon

We were concerned about the uniformity of the Succession Mystic skill combos. Mystic is a class that was designed to be able to combo into a variety of skills to truly feel adaptive in combat, but Martial Spirit could only be quickly gained through Succession skills which resulted in a majority of skill combos using Prime skills. Therefore, we decided to make it easier to gain Martial Spirit as long as you are in Succession without needing to use only Prime skills all the time. Additionally, we applied the changes that many of our Adventurers suggested for Scissor Kick. We increased the distance traveled and added Super Armor to the Main Weapon Scissor Kick.
● Improved to be able to land on the ground immediately when using a jump attack at a high location.
● Roaring Tiger - Removed the Air Smash effect from all levels of the skill.
● Changed all skill descriptions that mentioned the use of Martial Spirit Shard to Martial Spirit.
- Martial Spirit x1 equals Martial Spirit Shard x10.
● Flow: Prey Hunt - Improved to have the Stiffness effect apply when hitting other Adventuers.
● Flash Step - Improved to combo more smoothly into Crouching Wolf after using the skill.
● Removed the Awakening skill Enhance: Wolf's Frenzy and changed the effects of the skill Wolf's Frenzy.
We changed Wolf's Frenzy to be more centered around survivability. So, the skill was changed to remove debuffs in PvP and apply the Invincibility effect during the skill.

● Double Flash - Improved the skill to be available with the main weapon. However, she will change to her Awakening weapon when the skill is used.
● Crouching Wolf, Flow: Prey Hunt, Wolf's Frenzy - Reduced the stamina consumed when pressing ↓ after the skills to evade backwards.
● Silent Step - Increased the duration of the defensive effect on the skill by 0.2 sec.
● Scissor Kick - Improved to be able to recover stamina during the recovery motion.
● Rage Hammer - Increased the attack range of the skill.
● Thunder Pound - Increased the attack range of the skill.
● Twisted Collision - Added the Forward Guard effect during the skill and changed the Floating effect to only apply in PvE.
● Scissor Kick - Changed the Super Armor effect to only be applied during the skill.
● Increased the duration of the Block effect by 0.2 sec during the Backward Evasion motion after using certain skills.
● Flash Step - Improved her movements to appear less awkward when comboing into Elbow Edge.

 

Succession

● Tornado Kick - Improved to be activated after Prime: Scissor Kick when holding ↑ + F.
● Prime: Scissor Kick - Increased the movement distance.
● Prime: Rage Hammer - Increased the attack range of the skill.
● Prime: Thunder Pound - Increased the attack range of the skill.
● Prime: Roaring Tiger - Changed the cooldown from 7 sec to 5 sec.
● Prime: Hidden Claw - Improved to combo more naturally into Flash Step and Silent Step.
● Succession: Crouching Wolf - Removed the description and unified the description with Crouching Wolf.
● Flow: Prey Hunt - Changed to be activated without consuming Martial Spirit Shards like while using cestus when you have Martial Spirit Shard x30.
● Prime: Scissor Kick - Changed to apply the Floating effect only to the last hit and added the Super Armor effect.
● Prime: Tornado Kick - Changed the Super Armor effect to only be applied when using skill.
● Flow: Strikethrough - Changed to not be activated when pressing ↑ + RMB after Prime: Sea Burial.
● Flow: Fatal Smash - Changed to be activated when pressing RMB after Prime: Sea Burial.
● Changed Absolute skills to now recover more Martial Spirit Shards when comboed with other skills in Succession similar to Succession skills.

 

Awakening

Awakening Mystic saw Flow: Wave Orb and Enhance: Wolf's Frenzy changed to basic skills, thereby lessening the number of Flow skills in her roster, and adding Earth Splitter to her long-ranged taunt skills such as Raging Wind and Kick. We've also worked on improving the damage and attack range of certain skills to improve her PvE experience. We've also changed Silent Step into a passive, thus allowing you to use Flash Step up to three times in a row when not on cooldown, and further improving your movement capabilities.

● Added two new skills that can be learned at Lv. 57 and 58.
● Removed the Damage Reduction debuff applied by the following skills when used on cooldown.
- Rapid Stream, Tidal Burst
● Rapid Stream - Changed to now apply the DP reduction debuff even when used on cooldown.
● Enhance: Wolf's Frenzy - Removed the skill. Changed Wolf's Frenzy to now be usable during Awakening mode.
● Gushing Waters - Fixed the issue where the character would momentarily slow down on hit.
● Double Flash - Applied the following changes.
- Changed into a passive skill. Removed the cooldown duration.
- Changed to no longer cost Stamina. Using Flash Step to activate the skill will only consume Stamina twice.
- Changed so you can now use Flash Step after Silent Step while in Awakening mode.
- Double Flash - Changed to now apply All Evasion +9% for 10 sec when using Flash Step twice in a row.
● Flow: Sea Burial - Changed to now activate automatically when using Sea Burial.
● Flow: Wave Orb - Removed the skill. Added effects to Wave Orb.
- Changed the Sea Dragon's damage to now be different per level of Wave Orb.
● Wave Orb II, III - Increased the damage.

Skills Before After
Wave Orb II Hit Damage 1103% x7 Hit Damage 1213% x7
Wave Orb III Hit Damage 1202% x7 Hit Damage 1442% x7

● Wave Orb (I to III) - Changed the cooldown duration from 15/14/13 sec to 13/12/11 sec.
● Tidal Burst - Improved the last hit to combo faster into Wave Orb.
● Hurricane Sweep - Improved to combo more smoothly from the 2nd and 3rd hits.
● Rising Dragon IV - Increased the PvP-only Critical Hit Rate +25% buff to +50%.
- Now the Critical Hit Rate +50% buff will be applied for both PvP and PvE.
● Dragon Shatter - Changed into Dragon Strike.
- The skill now has the Mystic deliver a powerful blow with her fist.

 

Global Lab Update - November 5, 2021

● Rising Dragon, Sea Burial, Wave Orb - Changed the Sea Dragon Hit Damage and the number of hits.
● Elvia: Severed Fate - Fixed the issue where the skill did not work.
● Black Spirit: Rising Dragon - Fixed the issue where the number for reduced PvP damage was being displayed abnormally.
● Sea Burial - Fixed the issue where the reduced PvP damage effect was not being displayed.

I have been playing mystic since launch both awakening and now succesion.There are so many things I would like to put down in a post I do not know we're to even begin.

 

Watching years of neglect and unfounded nerfs to Damage,speed attack/movement, removal of almost all of her protections removal of her I frames and invincibility on wolfs frenzy her only real ranged protected engage. I can continue on and on about many complaints SPECIFICALLY THE 2 YEARS it took you guys to finally fix my "WAIT A MOMENT" bug that I posted after succesion went live that sat in bug reports on both KAKAO forums and these new ones including tickets that went neglected FOR YEARS....YEARS that is completely uncalled for and frustrating.

 

The above said I will try and post some things that I would like to see.

Mystic is a melee only class with ZERO long range skills she has no q block and relying on speed and evasion to get into targets and once she is there she literally has 2-3 engage skills with SA and has to use completely unprotected combo's to do damage.

Unlike the striker that has some of its highest damage AOE skills protected the mystic does not. Add to the fact you guys nerfed her magic DP the one thing she was made for.

 

#1) She needs to see a resurgence of her DP to be able to survive GVG. I would like to see you guys incorporate not only + evasion skills that last longer but would like to see several skills bring +30-40 Dr to allow her to be able to survive in the thick of battle.

#2) I would like to see a gimic of EVASION debuf removal for self and FOR party/10 members this would also include the ability to remove the new courser block removal. This alone would make her relevant in GVG by countering the already unbalanced classes such as sage,nova,courser 

#3) We need to see a major damage increase(on succesion) as well as increase in AOE(on both succesion and awakening)on skills if you make us rely on the current protected skills so we can actually do damage and not rely on unprotected combos.

#4) need to bring back invincibility on wolfs frenzy and increase its range.

#5) Need to increase her accuracy base on skills, she can no longer compete with a majority of classes that have sustained accuracy buffs.

#6)relying on her ability to make shards and dump for damage has hindered her ability for far to long in PVE.

She is currently one of the bottom tier grinders in the game. The lack of damage pre shard use is killing her ability to be remotely successful and consistent in PVE (I.E. have to dump shards on a back or down attack to even do damage at orcs) unlike her counterpart the striker that is literally one of the top grinders in game.

I would like to be able to play mystic in PVE not take another to be able to make $$$ grinding.

 

Most of my complaints are centered around PVE and her lacking in ability to do GVG'S based on all the heavy handed nerfs over the years. I would like to play her in node wars and GVGs as well as PVE even adding in the gimic of evasion debuff and guard removal on skill use would be amazing.

I wait patiently to see what happens to her in the reboot.

Did you unironically just ask to make the tankiest class ingame tankier, like one of the 2 classes that can casually survive whole raid with a right build and still kill in a combo? The same one with 3x 30% slows, including one on a pull skill? And HOW did mystic have all protections removed when she has perma SA rotations with ccs in almost every skill? 6+ protected CCs, multiple semi-protected ones and a SA grab in a class is nothing to you? And you want MORE damage on succession, after it just got buffed by 30+% across the board? You are clearly completely clueless about your own class.
PS: Courser is a horse, not a class, and sages don't have iframes, so learn to grab them. Complaining about corsair as mystic is kinda hilarious considering it's not even a fg class. Please tell me you forgot to write "kappa" under your post.

Mystic needs more AoE.

 

[Succession]

I would like to see every spell that a class has to be usefull to some extend. Like wolfs frenzy that is 99% useless atm and often only leads to being stuck in a wall or underground. Just as Adamantine and its flows, its widely used on striker, with a reason ofc, but it looks very nice and feels good with Mystic, it just has no use, neither CC nor DMG is a reason to use this, so we just lock it and therefore its wasted space and SP. The Only real use is Mass Destruction. At this point you could either remove Adamantine and make Mass Destruction an own Skill or make more use of Adamantine. 
Its also very hard, if not impossible to combo someone if I dont crush them with my lead in gear, maybe thats just me but they always get up in the combo during Hidden Claw (which flows are also unnecessary cause they deal about 0 dmg), so maybe it needs more finetuning in CC and/or dmg in general, but im really stepping in the dark there.

Also it is pretty unique for a class to rely so much on mainhand in her awakening cause it has good dmg and protection, but it makes awakening feel pretty unnecessary since it has barely any protection, specially on the dmg skills. I dont play awa anymore and have more experience in succession so thats where i will remain silent now.

You basically just admitted that you don't know how to put together a basic PvP combo. You say you have experience in Succession but you don't even know how to combo? Mystic can easily fit together 2 Kd attempts plus a backup float or stun in a combo in order to deal with adamantine users, all the while only sacrificing but a minute amount of damage.

1st off there is no spell check on these forums but pointing out when I mention classes and say Courser when anyone one literately can figure out I meant Corsair without being a forum troll. yah know what I'm gonna try and keep this some what civil.

 

Let us discuss your post.

Mystic is NOT the tankiest class In this game, the ONE AND ONLY reason she is is becouse you equipped her to be at the cost of damage (ap) due to her high evasion passive that is currently nullified BY any SAGE, Hash, nova corsair. SPECIFICALLY Sage with a 19%evasion debuff and most of the new classes have triple the accuracy buffs like sage and hash that have a 30% sustained accuracy base. 

Obviously you lack the gear and understanding of how to fight the mystic let alone do not even understand how to play it to come in here on a thread asking us to comment on our own reboot.

You Obviously do not understand mystic combo's the only way for a mystic to kill you or anyone else is to Combo..

What you are  talking about is a 1V1 dual NOT GVG. UNLESS I get a one off Wave orb with full shards (the very same skill that has the slows is a FG only it offers one of the only main movement protected engages) next to sea burial/rage Hammer that are lingering SA but need full shards to do damage NONE of the other protected skills do damage (scissor kick we use pre awakening (SA) becouse our prime Scissor is unprotected) BEING A CLASS that requires full shards to do damage NO combo NO shards NO damage.

All you have left is movement and that is protected but with gaps were you try and get into a ball your instant CC.

 

One of the main succesion combo's 80% of the skills used are in fact COMPLETELY unprotected. 

Does she have SA skills that have CC's sure but if I catch you with mass destruction and grab you the 1st 2 or 3 skills after that DOES ZERO damage they are for debuffs thunderpound is a FG only skill and can't be used IN GvG is mainly for the downsmash at the end, without thinderpound gaining shards I have to use soulbasher that does ZERO damage and it's flow that has a down smash is UNPROTECTED. 

Why is is do you think that other than a 580 dp mystic there are NONE in node war or Siege? ALMOST ALL SIEGE guilds will not take a mystic unless you are C20 on evasion gear, Pen centars, Pen secils and at least 280ap with both. Do you know how many mystic have that gear in NA? I know of 4 out of all the mystics and MOST of them Double with Striker OR 2nd main Corsair now.

This above same gear on ALL NEW CLASSES can out grind and out preform mystic in GVG. roughly 90% of all current classes outperform mystic in PVE and pretty much 80% of current classes preform better in GVG and have more utility. Mystic is in the top 10% in one thing 1v1 duals PERIOD and that is the damn truth.

Sure a mystic can put together KD attempts and down smashes.

But again we are talking about a 1v1 Here, the same skill rotation I use as a succession mystic IS NOT USABLE in GVG. 

You can try and talk about a PvP combo but again the reason that mystic CAN do damage is with her shards.

Her 3 biggest damage skills rage hammer, sea burial and tiger all use shards Rage Hammer and Sea burial are the only 2 protected, tiger is not.

Hidden claw is a high damage skill has zero protections.

ALL THE REST OF MYSTICS SKILLS ARE LOW DAMAGE SKILLS that are only used to pick/downsmash and gain shards for the dump on main damage skills. 

Again a MAJORITY of those skills that do offer protection do not do a damn thing and the ones needed to downsmash are non protected so I may put you down but I wont the able to keep you there those that do what you refer to rely on there GEAR and usually 700+ GS and use unprotected skills and HOPE they only get stunned or CClimit to kill you or anyone.

 

Again this is the main reason Mystic are left out of the node war and siege anything above small scale 1-10 v 1-10 the mystic has to be so over geared above all other classes and players to Excell that anytime a class that equal geared comes in nullifies the mystic. Heck even adding a sage to a GvG pretty much kills of any chance of a mystic even at 700 gs.
