It's ridiculous that there are basically no pearl outfits for female classes with a normal pair of shoes and trousers. And the few trousers that there are super tight with opening all over the legs making them ultra skimpy.
Allow me to make a premise right here: I am not against skimpy outfits because of my religious beliefs, I'm not a puritan, I'm not a conservative. I also enjoy skimpy outfits. The problem is when all you have are skimpy outfits. There is literally 0 choice. You either play skimpy or play skimpy.
The only non skimpy outfits are the free ones given by finishing the questlines but those are so bland it's not even fair compared to the quality offered by the pearl outfits.
All male characters have all badass outfits. Cool looking boots, awesome looking cloaks and armor. Female ones what do they get ? High heels, fish nets, and small accessories to match their "femmininity" (highly debatable term obviously). Why can't I have my Guardian look as cool as a warrior does in the Doomsday or Deathlord set ? Why does she have to wear a napkin that hides 10% of her abdomen and her legs are also wrapped in a cloth band. I want to look like a woman in full plated shiny armor and not look like I'm about to go out to some club on a saturday night.
Another big issue with female characters: Heels
Why does every single set, even the ones that look like normal plate armor for example Valoren got to have heels ? Have you ever seen a warrior fight in heels ? Do you know how much plate armor weights ? But practicality aside this is fantasy setting I get it, but why would I want my character with cool looking armor to wear heels ? It just has a very bad and shallow taste to it.
The counterargument that people bring when I ask to bring more normal shoes/boots and less heels is that they say that "heel shape is fused within the female characters model". And let me say right out the bat that that's wrong. Great examples are Urugon shoes. Urugon shoes fit perfectly every character and they are flat shoes. A great example of this is Witch. If you look at Witch's urugon shoes they are not even boots but look like actual short shoes meaning that her feet are actually standing down.
But even if the skeleton was fixed in that position, urugon shoes prove that they can work around it, so why won't you please PA?
And wedge heels are not the solution. My mystic is basically bound to wear only wedge heels and I'm sick of it. Why can't she have a pair of normal shoes just like Striker does ? And look like an actual martial artist.
The thing is it's ok to have skimpy outfits but at least give the playerbase some choice. As things are now there is no choice. You either buy skimpy pearl outfits or just don't spend any money. When I played Mehwa I wanted really bad to find an outfit for her in the shop but didn't buy anthng because everything looked just horrible. Heels and skirts and short dresses. Is my class fantasy supposed to be that of a shieldmaiden who goes to a wedding cerimony ? Because that seems to be the case.
Same thing happened with my Mystic and Guardian.
Yes there are the free outfits but they are exactly that, free. They have no quality to them they are just basic. What I would like is ouftis with quality same as that of Warrior's, Striker's, Zerkers but for female classes.
Another great example of this practice by PA is the newest Marni's outfit. Male classes got cool looking boots, a badass long cloak. What did the ffemale classes get ? Tiny heels, fishnet socks, and a skirt dress. Topped all by a tiny little hat. Because somehow the tiny hat reflects the image of femminity that women must fullfill, right ? /s
Another big example is La Orzeca outfit. One of the most gorgeous outfits in the game. They fixed the female boob window, awesome. But guess what, why do they still wear heels ? It's such a turn off when a set looks so good and then you see those heels on them.
I want to repeat myself again before people comment things like "stop it with your conservative relegious ideas". I am not against skimpy outfits because of religion or anything conservative, I am not against skimpy outfits at all. I'm just against the fact that skimpy outfits are all we got. There is literally no choice for females characters. Feels like we jumped back in time where women were only allowed to wear skirts and heels.
Please. We need less high heels and more shoes. I'm so sick of this fantasy trend where every outfit follows a heel of sorts. I miss flat shoes. I miss hard metal spike boots. I miss sandals and cleverly designed footwear.
We also need way less skimpy outfits, especially for DK. I was disappointed that 90% of the outfits made my DK look like I had created a lewd character commission for R34. It's nothing to do with being a conservative. I want my characters to look good without seeing skin patches and boob/underwear windows. It is possible to create sexy outfits without adding these to everything.
Meh
We need more revealing and girly outfit. Most current outfit are way too dressy.
Same for man outfit, Man deserve high heels too.
Korean MMO's usually have a very particular aesthetics to them and is one of the reasons people like them. Also, BDO has been like that since forever. In any case PA already adds non skimpy stuff, like Heled set for DK so I think it's already ok.
Anyway, people need to enjoy stuff for what it is instead of trying to change it onto something else, it's rude to the fans that already like something the way it is.
I don't know, to me this is like me asking Ashes of Creation Dev team to add skimpy stuff after they said they won't since their are following another approach to their game.
Agreed with it all. But you have to understand that a detailed/badass armor will not sell on female models.
Compare the amount of time that is required for a heavy armor costume vs some stripper outfit. Specially trying to adjust a chest plate with those huge badoonkas some players have without clipping. How do you prevent it from not looking stupid?
Now think of how many people play females cause "huehuehue is hawt. I like bewbies kekekekeke"
The amount of dev work that would go into making armors for females vs the amount of people who would buy it would be disproportionate and not a good investment in PA's eyes.
Sad truth, just look at all the downvotes you got from horny people who like to afk looking up their toon's skirts.
I would love to see costumes for females like Derictus and Kairos.. but alas, sex sells. There's been 800+ transactions of Checkmate for the waifu Dark Knight alone vs Exclatus has 200 transactions, Derictus has 400 transactions and Kairos has 250. One stripper outfit in NA has almost as many sales as 3 male outfits combined. How much time you think was invested modeling 3 full armors vs that fishnet garbage? That should tell you enough.
I get what you're saying. I like the heels and specifically the boots mainly. I wouldnt mind them making something with trousers and such. It just has to look DAMN GOOD. If it doesnt look good to me, I see no reason to spend.

And yeah I dont quite like the guardian outfits much.
And here I am wanting high heels for tamer because I'm sick of her getting left out >.<
But then I'm kinda biased; I'm very much into high heels.
Not saying that there shouldnt be other options. In my opinion it would be nice if they made flat and heeled options so everyone is happy. The main reason why I think the fem classes don't get flat shoes, is because that would require their feet models to come down. That doesn't even happen if you take off shoes indoors, they's stand on tip-toes the entire time.
Same as for why Tamer doesnt get high heels, that would need the heel to come up. I do not see why they cannot make both heights work for all models though, because modders in plenty of other games can do it, but I assume it comes down to time, money and effort.
I would love for everyone to have the option they want. Perhaps then we can also start seeing fixes to the cape toggle that doesnt work for all capes, includes some wings and excludes others and even hides stockings instead of the cape for the shadow chaser. Or giving us a toggle to show/hide weapons as we see fit. Some classes auto-hide weapons when sheated on kibelius divinus, but not all, even though they still clip. Mystic weapons hide on the new margoria outfit, but show on (and ruin) bloody outfit gloves.
There's so much that could and tbh, SHOULD be improved. Costumes cost half a brand-new AAA game. It would be much better if all these things were resolved, but I don't see any of it happening. They still fix things no one sees as issues, but don't fix a bug with DK's Stella helmet after 5 bug reports with proof.
"No more heels and skirts" is not something I agree with. "Please gives us more variety in heels/flats, skirts/pants, etc", I do strongly agree with.
+1
I am all for making more inclusions to the dress code of this game.
We need more female costumes that at business oriented and not so sexy and glamorous all the time.
I was telling my friends that PA might do the cross dressing this year with the halloween event... but that did not happen.
It would be pretty cool to see male costumes on the female classes and female costumes on the males.
..... I mean they did it for shai.....
