With PA now self-publishing in NA/EU, there might be a chance to revisit this topic.

I'd like to see Shai in NA/EU the same as on global and in many other regions: Not forced to wear leggings, which ruin many outfits, which were clearly not designed with them in mind!

Arguments for and against this have been thrown back and forth a long time ago.

I think, this kind of censorship is just stupid, catering to a certain "pedo!" shouting crowd, while at the same time giving them the opportunity to shout even louder at anyone wanting to remove this censorship again.

These forced leggings are patronizing and insulting, wanting to have them removed is a matter of principle for many (in addition to not ruining the outfits), nothing else.

In addtition, I am hoping for a true global build, with no regional differences (except the necessary localization). This would be one step towards that goal.

Although my issue with the censorship leans more toward the pajamas shoulders ruining too many outfits with large collars and/or short sleeves, I would appreciate to have the censorship either removed or adjusted to not ruin the visual of most Pearl Shop outfits.

They did remove it from RU when people complained about it.  On the RU forum, players were unanimously against the censorship and the topic didn't become controversial at all.  That was in stark contrast to the mixed reaction, controversy, name-calling, and accusations on the old NA/EU forum.  They might not feel comfortable removing it if there's still any controversy left.

Anyway, I think it looks dumb so I'm all for getting rid of it.

I want to be able to wear my Marigold Sunset outfit with the scarf hidden on Shai please! With these horrid low textured 'pjamas', it just looks ugly showing through the outfit on the shoulders! 

I agree too, the censorship ruins many outfits and is not neccesary.

Because I only see people complaining on how the pajama clips over outfits, not anyone wanting to see under someones skirt.

I think that a topic of 83 pages, and 1647 messages in the old forum is enough for Pearl Abyss to take it in consideration. We already exposed our arguments to remove this censorship, and eliminate the requirement to work twice (for the censored and not censored version).
In the other side, only people blaming us as "pedophiles" without a correct argument.

Right now, every outfit in the game for Shai have this clipping problem, and as consequence for NA/EU Servers mostly all the official underwears for Shai was removed.

Just stumbled upon these two Shai in game. If it wasn't for the whole pedo/censorship discussion, this would not even be worth mentioning.

Well, it seems what certain people seem to be offended by, when possible on a playable class, is already in game in the form of NPCs.

Will they call for swimming pyjamas/leggings now?
