Global Lab Update - October 29, 2021

NINJA, KUNOICHI

● Ghost Step - Changed the Block effect like the following:

Before After
Invincibility → Super Armor Invincibility 

● Death's Descent - Improved the speed of the motion continued on Grapple.
● Ninjutsu: Block Jump - Made the following improvements:
- Changed to summon forth a total of three wooden blocks in the shape of an equilateral triangle.
- Removed the Throwing Kick and Wind Slash combo attacks activated when continuing ←/→ and added a function where you move to each of the blocks of wood when pressing the ←/→ directional keys.
- You cannot move behind the enemy again when you move to one of the blocks of wood by pressing the ←/→ directional keys, but you can combo into other normal skills.
● Floor Sweeping, Throwing Kick - Changed to be available for Quick Slot.
● Shadow Clone - Removed the Shadow Clone buff maintained when using Shadow Stomp and added/changed the command keys for and requirement to activate the skill like the following.

● Ninjutsu: Shadow Clone (I to III), Absolute: Shadow Clone - Changed the cooldown from 18/16/14/13 sec to 15/13/12/10 sec.
- Shadow Clone - Changed the skill's attack motions to be more natural and improved to combo more quickly with another skill.
- Shadow Clone - Changed the attack range from applying forward attacks to the area surrounding your character in a circle due to the changes made to the attack motions.
- Shadow Clone - Improved to combo more quickly with Shadow Stomp.
- Shadow Clone - Changed to apply the Critical Hit Rate increase effect in PvE as well.
● Shadow Stomp - Changed to activate Smokescreen when pressing SPACE.
- Improved Smokescreen that activates instantly when pressing SPACE after using certain skills to combo more quickly.
- Changed the point when Smokescreen's hits are applied to match the actual attack motions and improved to combo more quickly into other skills.
● Ghost Greeting - Fixed the issue where the skill would be activated first instead of Ankle Cutter when pressing SHIFT + LMB while Sprinting.
● Ghost Greeting - Fixed the issue where it wouldn't be activated when pressing LMB while Sprinting in certain situations.
● Shadow Stomp - Improved to combo more quickly with Fatal Blow, Flow: Fatal Blow Combo, Kunai Stab, Heart Aiming.
● Fatal Blow, Flow: Fatal Blow Combo, Kunai Stab, Heart Aiming - Fixed the issue where you couldn't recover Stamina while using the skills.
● Absolute: Heart Aiming - Changed the cooldown from 27 sec to 20 sec.
● Heart Aiming - Changed so that you can use the skill on cooldown.
● Shadow Slash - Changed the command keys for comboing into Heart Aiming or Smokescreen as shown below.

● Heart Aiming - Fixed the issue where the skill would automatically be activated when holding SPACE when going into NInjutsu: Concealment state after using Smokescreen by pressing SPACE after using certain skills.
- Changed to activate Heart Aiming by pressing SPACE again when going into Concealment state with the aforementioned command keys.
● Ghost Step - Changed so that you can combo into Smokescreen (I to V) by pressing SPACE.
● Brace - Changed to only be available for Quick Slot.
● Ghost Step - Improved to maintain Sprint just by holding directional keys or Shift while Target Chase's buffs are applied.
● Ghost Step - Improved to continue the Sprint motion more naturally when holding directional keys or Shift.
● Floor Sweeping - Improved to continue the motion more naturally when continuing the skill.
● Kunai Throw, Shuriken Throw - Changed to increase the attack range when using the skill mid-air. However, for Succession Kunoichi, the attack range where the Stiffness effect is applied remains the same.
● Kunai Throw, Shuriken Throw - Added a Toggle function.
● Ninja Evasion (I to III) - Increased the leap distance.

NINJA

In Ninja Awakening, we focused on reducing the need to depend on certain skills in combat. Also, we made improvements so you can more freely switch into Awakening state from your Main Weapon state.

Awakening

● Murderous Intent - Improved to be available for Quick Slot while using shortsword.
We made Murderous Intent available for Quick Slot so that you can more freely switch between Main Weapon state and Awakening state in PvE or PvP.

● Flow: Mach Explosion - Applied the following changes.
- Changed the cooldown from 17 sec to 12 sec.
- Adjusted the attack range and added 3rd hit to blade hits.

We reduced the gap in the damage of the 1st and extra hits of Flow: Mach Explosion to balance out the amount of damage inflicted.

● Changed to maintain guard when using your sura katana.
● Vacuum Slash - Adjusted the attack range.
● Sudden Decapitation - Increased the attack range.
● Execution - Adjusted the attack range.
● Sura ChaoSpree - Applied the following changes.
- Added Down Attack.
- Changed cooldown from 25 sec to 15 sec.
● Flow: Block Jump - Applied the following changes.
- A total of 3 blocks of wood will be summoned forth in the shape of an equilateral triangle.
- You cannot move behind the enemy again when you move to one of the blocks of wood by pressing the ←/→ directional keys, but you can combo into other normal skills.

 

Succession

● Prime: Dark Frenzy - Applied the following changes.
- Increased the damage and critical hit rate.

- Improved to be activated when holding ↓ + RMB after Prime: Red Rain.

 

Global Lab Update - November 5, 2021

NINJA, KUNOICHI

Main Weapon

● Kunai Block - Made the following changes:
- Changed to stay in the defensive stance without needing to hold the Q key. You will need to press Q again to release the defensive stance.
- Changed to be able to combo more smoothly into other skills during the kunai defense stance.
● Flow: Sky Stepping - Made the following changes:
- Improved the combo speed when using the skill consecutively.
- Fixed the issue where the character motion appeared abnormal when the skill was comboed after certain skills.
● Ghost Greeting - Changed the commands for the skill so pressing LMB while sprinting will activate Wind Slash instead.
- Therefore, the skill description of Ghost Greeting was changed to the following:

LMB while Sprinting during certain situations
LMB while using certain skills

● Ghost Step - Changed so that during the Target Chase buff you can hold a directional key or SHIFT to combo into normal movement.
● Ninjutsu: Concealment - Changed back the activation speed of the skill when used after Smokescreen by pressing SPACE.
● Ninjutsu: Shadow Clone, Prime: Shadow Clone - Reduced the backward movement distance.
● Ninjutsu: Shadow Clone (I to III) - Changed the visual effects of the skill to match the actual area hit by the skill.
● Ninjutsu: Block Jump - Changed the effect of the skill to enter stealth for a moment when pressing ←/→ after using the skill.
● Brace - Changed to activate the skill by pressing SHIFT + SPACE.
● Shadow Explosion, Prime: Shadow Explosion, Fatal Blow - Removed the "Push on hit in PvE" effect.
● Heart Aiming - Fixed the issue where using the skill during its cooldown would reset its cooldown as well.
● Kunai Throw - Fixed the issue where the visual effect of the skill appeared abnormal when using the skill in the air.
● Shadow Clone - Fixed the issue where the skill would not activate when pressing ↓ + RMB after the following skills:
- Ghost Step, Shadow Slash, Ankle Cutter

 

NINJA

Main Weapon

● Shuriken Throw - Fixed the issue where an abnormal amount of Stamina would be consumed when moving sideways or backwards while using the skill.

 

Succession

● Prime: Heart Aiming - Added the skill.

The Succession Ninja's major skill Absolute: Heart Aiming was improved with Prime: Heart Aiming. This will improve their ability to go in for the kill and increase Accuracy with the newly added buff.

●Made the following changes to Alert Stance.

The Succession Ninja can now use Alert stance to move forward or backward. We added forward Alert stance to the skill Prime: Blade Spin. Additionally, we added backward Alert stance to the skills Prime: Dark Frenzy, Prime: Red Rain, and Absolute: Shadow Clone, which allows you to use Alert stance defensively.

● Blade Spin (I to Prime) - Improved on the issue where the character would slow down upon hitting a target.
● Prime: Blade Spin - Made the following changes:
- Improved to activate Alert Stance by holding RMB after using the skill.
- Increased the Critical Hit Rate increase in PvE to 50%.
● Smokescreen - Increased the activation speed of Prime: Fox Claw after using the skill.
● Prime: Black Moonlight - Improved all hits within the AoE to be applied equally.
● Prime: Evasive Shuriken Malice - Reduced the amount of Stamina consumed from 150 to 100.
● Prime: Red Rain - Added the Critical Hit Rate +50% in PvE effect.

 

Awakening

● Sudden Decapitation - Made the following changes:
- Added the "Attack Speed +10% for 10 sec upon using the skill" effect.
- Added the "Forward Guard upon using the skill" effect.
- Changed the Floating and Bound effects to only apply in PvE.
- Changed the Floating and Bound effects to apply to other Adventurers upon learning Core: Sudden Decapitation.
● Drastic Measure - Made the following changes:
- Added the "Super Armor on hit" effect.
- Changed the "Bound on hit" effect to only apply in PvE.
- Changed the Bound effects to apply to other Adventurers upon learning Core: Drastic Measure.
● Vacuum Slash - Made the following changes:
- Improved to activate the 4th hit of the skill by pressing F after using the skill.
- Added the Forward Guard effect on the 4th hit.
- Added two to the number of hits on the 4th hit.
- Added the Down Attack effect to the skill.
● Core: Murderous Intent - Increased the duration of the Super Armor effect upon learning the skill.
● Seamless - Increased the skill activation speed.
● Flow: Mach Explosion - Made the following changes:
- Improved to activate the skill by holding RMB after using the skill Flashing Light.
- Improved to combo into other skills more smoothly after the blade hit.
● Serpent Ascension - Improved on the issue where the character would slow down upon hitting a target.

Seriously, join https://discord.com/invite/VSuuF5g and go to Collective Feedback, we have everything there and just go through them add some of that to awak ninja simple as that you don't even need to think just MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Speaking about succ ninja in my (and not only) opinion he needs:

- better stamina menagement (alert stance stopping stamina regen is BAD)

- some real pve dmg buffs would be nice BUT I would rather suggest reducing some dmg skills CDs by 2-3 sec without dmg change

- some rabams have to be reworked (too long uncancelable animations and much too long CDs

- speaking about passive: I would trade 12 all ap for 5% acc, evasion buff is ok as long as fallen god will have evasion conterparts....

Succession ninja requires PVE enhancements to make it equal to Awakening. There is no need to have Succession being greater than Awakening at PVE or vice versa. Just put them both on the equal footing for PVE. 

 

Also, it's a problem to have other classes such as Striker and Lahn putting in less or the same time and effort but getting more profit from grinding PVE. Bring ninja up to the same standards. 

 

The recent change to pause the stamina bar each time Succession uses alert stance should also be revisited as that actually puts us at a distadvantage. Thanks.

Awakening Ninja Feedback

 

General

We really need an accuracy buff, ninja is extremely dependant on this stat. More thewn most es. We also suffer against larger numbered packs damage wise due to how our multi hit skills are soaked by mobs. A severe lack of evasion shred is also an issue we have as well. We are basically forced to run accuracy accessories at this point because our entire kit desperately depends on accuracy. Many es suffer less from accuracy due to passives, and pets. Ninja is one of the few es that has consistently requested for accuracy buffs its a universal desire for everyone playing this .

 

Skills

Black Moonlight - Needs a faster animation, cancel, or transformation into a flow. No input, hotbar in preawkened only. As of now the skill is fairly inpracticle in combos and even weak in PVE. With a tier 3 addon slot here this would fell geat to get more use out of. 

Mach Explosion - This could use a forward guard, its a beautiful skill with good utility.

Flow: Execution - This could be a nice swap into awakening as well.

Shuriken Flight - This could be more respocnsive like succession.

Shackles - Very slow, hotbar preawaken only.

 

Many of these changes were lack luster pvp wise and fairly nice PVE wise. Our biggest issue is still accuracy and less responsive skills in the kit. We also dnt really get a new skill like other es. The reworked blockjump, shadow clone, and quality of life are fine but changes like shuriken throw are strange and generally unessecary.

I would like to see more protection and slight damage increases in PvP to keep  awakened ninja up to par with these new classes. It seems to be getting left behind. Succession ninja seems to be getting buffed and it didn't even need a buff. Speed up serpent as well. People steal my kill(s) all the time because that skill is rediculously slow going off.

I play as awakened....Something with blocking  has completely ruined flow...you cant just attack while holding block anymore. I feel thres now gaps in a lot of these changes that has slowed ninja down. With the right combos you could attack nonstop...now seamless has an "end"  it doesnt make sense and is really making playing as awakened annoying
