 I'm not new, I've been playing BDO for a little over a year now... but when I'd started in late July 2020, Oasis seemed to be a permanent thing - or permanent-ish.

There has been NO announcement explaining the differences or what this means, or even that it's ending! I heard about it for the first time from a guild mate yesterday, and he said "it says so in the event".. so I've looked at the Dream Box event... And this is all you say:

.... What about players who joined and began playing after that? What does this mean? I know Ellie's items/the vendor will be gone, sure. So Cron Meals and 1 day compasses will not be 1 silver.

BUT

I have this important question:

What about the OASIS Armour that our characters are wearing? What about the crystals socketed in the armour? What happens to them?

Seriously. Because I only have a few pieces of boss armour, scattered among my characters: a DIM Tree TRI (in storage, actually, 'cause I'd wanted to TET it first) and a TET Bheg's Gloves... At least 80% of my characters armours are OASIS, and most are fully socketed with crystals.

So... Do we get the crystals inside them back/sent to Heidel storage and our characters wind up naked? Suddenly from 280 DP down to 50DP? Will you take the silver from our storage/Warehouse - let us keep the armour that's physically on us? (I'd be fine with that option!) Convert it to Tuvala/Boss Gear + charge the silver from CM/storage/character?

Please ACTUALLY tell us what is happening, and GIVE US MORE TIME to ADJUST!  Maybe 1 more month (or Jan 1st?) to try getting more armour? Or... something.

But some REAL WARNING would have been NICE.

I would have appreciated an announcement, and in this case, also an email.

Come on, PA, you can do so much better than this. Where's your customer service? Because for anyone who's made an account after Oasis began... this is all we know.

A reply (or some replies) by a GM (or GMs) would be most appreciated, and/or an announcement-type post (put in NEWS/patch update type of news) similar to the ones that get done each Season, that explain how that particular season works. (ie: Autumn Season last year was very different from this past Summer Season, with Fughar's Timepiece being new. The increased enhancement rates for Naru/Tuvala(both?) this year's Autumn season was also new, and explained. A post like that, please, would be most helpful.

Oasis event was always event. It started because of Covid and now is ending.

Oasis includes : Oasis daily dream chests, Ellie Shop and no debuffs in Desert.

So obv after oasis ends, you won't get dream chests anymore and Desert will give you debuff, Ellie won't be available and thus the items from her will disappear and so will disappear from your inventory. 

Personally, I think that Oasis gear will stay, but the effects won't be applied so you won't get AP DP from wearing it. And that means you can still extract the crystals. 

If you were playing for a while, you should have tuvala sets from previous seasons, so gear for alts should not be a problem. And if you don't, then you will use the gear from Mediah main quest line. 

They already gawe you more than enough time to be prepared.

FALSE. When they destroyed black stones and memory fragments mp prices by ill-considered new PENs system any enchant has become unprofitable.

Who is going to spend the next hundreds of millions on gear for alt bosses. We will go back to the time when no one will kill them and they will despawn.

PA can also removing Margoria and bartering from game because without perm basic compass it will be dead content again.

Anyone who looked up what the oasis event did would know the answers to most of the questions here, and all but the newest players should have either been told of what the oasis event does long before now and/or looked it up themselves. Specifically, the oasis event added Ellie with her items that sell for 1 silver, it added the daily oasis dream chests, and it removed the desert diseases from the game. And it's been known since the beginning that all of these would eventually go away when the event finally ended. So, anyone who's been paying attention should have had plenty of time to prepare other gear for their alts as well as prep with regards to compasses, cron meals, etc. Obviously, lots of players haven't done that, since they either haven't been paying attention or assumed that the event would just keep on going forever, since it's already gone on for a ridiculously long period of time. But we all should have known that all of these benefits would be going away eventually and prepared for it - and I'm speaking as someone who started playing the game after the oasis event started.

So, we know that when the oasis event ends next week, you will no longer be able to use anything that Ellie sold, you will no longer be getting any more oasis dream chests, and the desert diseases will be returning. Ellie's items even specifically state that they will not be usable after the event ends. All of this should be clear. However, what we don't know is exactly how these items will become unusable. It's possible that they're all going to disappear from your inventory, and it's possible that they simply won't be usable any longer (similar to how season gear becomes useless to a character after a season ends). For most items, that distinction is irrelevant. The one exception would of course be what's going to happen with the oasis gear because of the issue with the crystals - which is really the one thing in the post here which raises a very relevant question that we don't have an answer to. If the gear disappears, then presumably, we lose all of those crystals, whereas if it just becomes unusable, then we'll have time to remove the crystals later. So, it would definitely be nice if PA would make a statement about the situation to make that clear. My guess is that the gear will stay but be unusable, because that would be by far the most friendly way to handle it, but that's just a guess. So, if anyone wants to play it safe, they should remove all of the crystals they want to keep from their oasis gear before maintenance on Wednesday, but it would of course be nice if PA made a statement on the matter.

And given how long the Oasis event has been going, PA really should have made a separate post about it rather than burying the information in the announcement page for the event that's giving out extra oasis dream chests. That being said, everyone should be reading the various announcements that get posted if they don't want to miss information, and PA gave us three weeks notice about the oasis event ending. On top of that, people have been posting about it in various places (including here and reddit) ever since. So, players should have had plenty of notice of the event ending, and given that it's been known since the beginning that it was temporary, anyone who's been playing for more than a month of two should have known that they needed to be prepared for the oasis event to end at any time.

New players who just joined today or about to join in a couple days would be more than happy to disagree with you lol

New players don't have multiple boss alts in oasis gear, and they have no reason whatsoever having oasis gear.

New players start on season, and they can't even equip it, and when they leave season they have better gear already.

new players who joined today or about to will also just think its an event thats gonna end in a week and isn't bothered by it since it hasn't been in their life for a year.
