Its a great game, I've tried so many MMOs lately and this one still looks the best and has the best action combat.  There are so many classes to choose from, and many things to do in the game world.  And we get regular events and updates.  I see a lot of complaints on the forum, but I just wanted to post something positive.

No, they haven't. 

This is why i'm saying we need community manager working with ingame community, "positive" feedback and saying that game doing  great from someone who don't play game this is how we sinking so hard. Start listening to real players.

lol huh? Just because the game has combo mechanics which isn't unique to BDO... It doesn't mean it has good combat mechanics. For good combat mechanics you need 1. Balanced classes which isn't a thing even with the class reboot. 2. Proper fighting mechanics, meaning no insta-kill AOE that appear out of nowhere. 3. Proper gear balance and progression which BDO does not have 4. Meaning to the skills which let's face it, most skills are unused.

So just because it has action-combat per your  definition, it doesn't make it better than any other MMORPG because they can't do it right. At least in other games they try to balance the classes as good as they can and at least in other games they try to make fights interesting. This is a hack and slash, a braindead one at that.

The reason why BDO receives so much criticism is because it is deserving of said criticism. They touted so much prior their launch and they failed to live up to expecations. Failing that, they refused to improve and innovate. Instead, 90% of the gameplay mechanics/loops are either broken or incomplete. There's also zero transparency on the development of the project, every deadline is pushed by months to years, and when they finally complete something it's back to "broken/incomplete". Sure, we want this game to strive and be excellent but PA seemingly refuses to do anything tangible.

So pardon my skepticism that they'll improve at this point, they'll have to earn said trust.

Yes, I generally agree.  I don't understand haters who still play this game.

How do you know he doesn't play the game?  I play the game, and I generally agree with him

I had a classmate back in the school days, he bought Diablo 3 when it came out, finished act1 and said it was a good game and never played it again.... 1st impression Andies good for numbers and we all know PA care more about numbers and PR than whatever the customers think or want.
