When exactly would you say it's a good idea to stop nerfing the 3 or so people that still play Sage? I think they've had enough nerfs at this point. 



This post isn't to serve for a debate. It's just a genuine question. Sage at this moment is known to be one of two things, a complete noob trap, or a class that only 3 players with 740 Gearscore play and Semi enjoy. 


I'm not here to form an argument on whether or not sage was due to receive nerfs in general, all I'm saying is that at this point you're beating a dead horse. Beating a Fossil in fact. 

You've gone as far in nerfing sage that you've essentially run out of things to nerf about sage, so you're now repeat nerfing Succession sages PvE performance. Which mind you is literally all that senior citizen class has at this point.

Class reboots are dropping soon, they were meant to bring older classes in line with the newer classes. Yet for some reason PA still decides it's a good idea to combo nerf sage  every patch. Again, even going so low to combo nerf sages PvE performance again. 

At this point, it's just low blow after low blow coming from PA towards the 3 people that still play Sage spec's.



You said you'd listen to our feedback on the changes, that was a Lie. You said you'd keep a close eye on our playerbase's reaction to the changes, that was a lie. So sure, we expected far too much from PA. fine, our fault for believing we had a voice.

But the least you can do is let us sit in the corner for a moment before getting out the nerf baton and beating us with it for the 68th patch in a row.

Also someone brought this up in the discord. Wasn't Sage supposed to be a love letter class to NA? LOL More like a direct insult to NA amirite bois?


Poor succ sages, I fear for their mental health. The one safe haven they had after getting mutilated is now being combo nerfed...and for what exactly? What's the point in nerfing a classes PvE that doesn't even out perform multiple classes that do far better in PvE. 

It makes no sense. They talk about balance, they know this kit is just garbage at 1v1 and small scale, outside of uncapped NW with insane gear just being a 1 trick pony, tatical nuke, essentially useless for 95% of the player base. They hit the one place where the class shines, PvE; becuase: 

"In the case of Sage, there was a downward adjustment to the Succession PvE performance. As we proceeded with the reboot, we upgraded the PvE performance of all characters to the higher standard, but, nevertheless, Succession Sage showed overwhelming performance. We ask for your understanding of the inevitably lowered adjustment for overall coordination. Succession Sage will continue to check the data even after the patch, and make detailed supplements if deemed necessary." 

WTF excuuuuuse me the class sucks every where else already. YOUR BUFFING THE SHIT OUT OF STRIKER!? one of the best classes in 1v1s, small scale, AND TOP TIER PVE. The class is extremely tanky, extremely agile, extremely strong, WHERE IS THE "BALANCE." 

Nobody plays sage anymore unless you are super geared, and the last nerf to succession waas the last nail in the coffin... Thanks Pearl Abyss for releasing a class just to nerf it 5 times in a row. At this point just delete the whole class and give everyone a few caphras in compensation.

The class is so garbage nowadays you can only be decent if you are near 700 gear score, ridiculous and worse than even DK or archer in its worst time. 

Wait until Pearl Abyss nerf awakening PvE, this is the next nerf before the class reach rock bottom... You first gutted the iframes (squishy class, cant SA trade), then gutted the PvE in succession TWICE, now you gutted awakening PvP and next you'll kill its PvE... Come on Pearl Abyss, finish the class. It aint worth our time anymore, kill it completely so we can quit in peace.

Btw: For the few sage haters that are still around, sage is the only class that has received not once or twice but 4 core mechanic changes, making you re-learn the class constantly and the only class who hasnt receive a single buff since its release. Even nova awakening received buffs for 4 weeks straight. Even corsair did. Thanks Pearl Abyss for giving EU and NA (what was supposed to be your "gift" to us) this shit hole class, waste of time and money. Learnt my lesson. 

I really want to know what metrics the developers use to decide this stuff. The fact that Succ Sage is getting another PvP nerf is one of the most mindboggling things I have ever seen in a video game. The class is completely dead - 99% of people rerolled off it already, top guilds wont take unless you are 50gs+ above their normal requirements, the sage discord is completely barren. The only thing that it was even good at was PvE and they are nerfing that too.

There is no way whoever decided on these nerfs actually plays the game at any decent level. The changes are so bad that people who don't even play the class are confused.

I have never played sage before. But my opinion is that the nerf after nerf series have to stop already. Why? Because I know what happens usually after that very well. Not my first time to see this absurd.

I don't know... open your eyes and look around? You probably haven't even seen a single Succ Sage in months. There is next to none of them in any top guilds, there is one streamer who plays it (he is already talking about what to reroll.) The new KR Orca Tier List just came out and has Sage as the worst PvP class in the game, they have it LOWER THAN SHAI - literally last spot. 

I play awakened sage and I think he is a pretty solid character. I do agree that succession sage is pretty trash though. Unprotected spells that take 6 years to cast make him pretty terrible.

Please nerf sage again. I can't stand it when he does some back-street boys pose -> lighting goes everywhere and every mob dies.
