Since when have events become a chorse or RNG & rage infusing bs instead of what an event is supposed to be a chill & relaxing content to get something for free be it a chill grind or a daily thing to do?

Halloween was full of this rage infusing minigames that would drive you insane instead of make you have fun in an event & not to mention how buggy it was, now "winter" events i can't even call em events but let's pretend... with this ice fishing same story, you'll break your wrist spinning that crap that's more RNG then skill/timing or anything to try and finish those quests and yet again no chill & fun, just infuriating anger at how bad this events are, the amount of stress they give they're not anywhere near rewarding enough for it nor is it in the spirit of what an event is supposed to be...

BDO is the only MMORPG that made me feel suicidal unlike any other MMORPG i played that actually made me chill & have fun with event content.

This kinda of a rant to get some of this stress/frustration off my mind & also a question of curiousity to see if i'm the only one who feels this way about BDO events or if there's other ppl out there feeling the same or similar.

Yeah imagine the fun, buying a expensive PC, to run a large game, just so you can "enjoy" stupid minigames inside the game, instead of playing the actuall game kek

Like if anyoen want to bother with such chore, they can just play browser games?

Imagine downvoting the truth lel, so far the summer event is the only one i enjoyed, you get to afk fish, you get to do some easy & chill daily/weekly quests and you can earn all rewards grinding it normally without going insane, wish every other event they do was properly done like that

It doesn't matter what you request, they won't listen. People wanted santa back because they got rid of him last year and they didn't bring him back. There wasn't even snow. I'm convinced now that only one intern is working on the game especially witht he amount of non-content that has been released so far. It's just RNG mini-games. It's really pitiful. Meanwhile other games are releasing massive expansions and listening to their playerbase. Really PA, for such a big company you act like you only have one or two employees.

The only event they put time in was the summer one, which was actually pretty interesting to some degree. The worst event was halloween where they decided that PvP was okay in a event zone and it was impossible to counter griefers even at level 49. I say that it's the worst event but we didn't really get a christmas one.

The biggest problem with most events at BDO? They are not fun. Most of them = farm mobs for 300 hours and drop event item with 0,1% chance for drop.

Oh sorry, not one but three so at event end you have eg. item A = 100, item B = 150, item C = 20. Funny? Not.

Well, the Marni's Spooky Playground (Halloween Event) was actually a step in the right direction; we had activities! Sure they took a little getting use to but it was interactive. Red Light, Green Light; the trick was simply to have game audio active. House of Horrors; was essentially a memory game. Versus Innocence Mk XII; was mostly a rock, paper, scissor game. Yes, some had their quirks, and PA did fix some issues along the way - such is the way with all new content these days, for better or worse, the player base more or less are the beta testers (not unique to BD by any stretch). Overall Marni's Spooky Playground was seen by the community as a step in the right direction; the biggest criticism seemed to be there simply wasn't enough of it.

I suspect in part what our little ice fishing event might be about now is; testing and getting our feedback. The mechanics do take some getting use to, and at times it seems it is practically impossible to pull up a fish (unsure if that is intended or not), but mostly with a little practice you can catch one. Yes, it could do with a touch more tweaking - for example, lower the spinning requirement a little so it easier to stop a fish swimming in its direction and maybe pull it back more against it.

Finally, I'm sure it's just hyperbole on your part but don't use words like 'suicidal' in trying to get your message across. No only is that wholly unacceptible it detracts from any point you're trying to make.  If a game (any activity!) is making you feel in anyway like that, you should absolutely stop it immediately. Games especially are for fun.

It was a complete failure.

Red Light, Green Light - bugged mini games and required sound.

House of Horrors - was extremely difficult, everyone wise used the expolit to finish it.

Innocence Mk XII - was fine but PA doesn't understand time zones so when the time changes to winter, the Innocence Mk XII spawn at the same time as the world bosses so we lost many bosses in Europe including Vell and Garmoth for whole week.

Not just that, Red Light, Green light couldn't be completed half the time even if you did it perfectly. The speed of was 100% RNG meaning the countdown could have ended quickly on each turn which it happened frequently. The counter should have been a gradual progression in speed or RNG but based on a total timer value making it possible to reach the end. So we had to wait for the chance to possibly win but there was often someone there ready to knock you off your mount.

House of horrors was dumb hard. I don't know what the exploit was but we should have been able to see the ghosts. I heard using night vision helped but never tried. Even if you could see what you needed to see, enabling PvP there was dumb. Everyone was getting griefed, even level 49 characters.

I didn't bother with innocence. It was too inconvenient to go from the middle of the ocean to where I needed to go. Teleportation needs to exist in this game. Without it, it's wasting everyone's time. I'm not parking an alt just for events or world bosses.

Id be curious, if someone could come up with an actual fun event, or even game concept.

Something fresh and new. Go.

Honestly for me, there is no such thing as a fun PvE event..so, iv got nothing, its all a nessessary progression chore.

If rewarding Competition, or Pvp is not involved. In my opinion its doomed.
