If you thought it was bad, now your nervous level will be at peak.
Korea server launched event with oasis private channel.
But ... only for the guilds and only if you pay 2b for it.
And that's not all. Only 40 guilds can win. And you can only use private channel for 48h.
And that's still not all. The last problem is "complicated".
Translation says: The winning adventurer will receive an entry ticket 'Oasis Key' in a letter (B) within the family.
Adventurers who use the item can freely invite up to 50 people including themselves.
So probably only guild master can recive ticket and invite 49 other people. Only 49? Why? We have guild with 100 members.
Also on oasis private channel PvP penalty does not apply.
Anyway, Pearl Abyss showed again that she can f. up even the best idea.
I don't think any of this is worth the trouble that they have coded in. Until they actually address the issue of going from mobile thinking to MMORPG thinking just log out for 31 days and back in for 30. You will be able to grind in peace by yourself without the DFS every 5 minutes.

No acces to Elvia with 30 days return and all cancer.. i mean all nice players trying to dfs/feed/grief/karmabom are very present in elvia..
if some players want this kind of server it's mainly to escape this toxic atmosphere because you can't enjoy anything in this game..
if I had to pay 2b per week to have the tranquility of playing 2 hours everyday or more without toxicity, i will pay every week

But you know that it hasn't been possible for over a year. If the total lvl of your characters is higher than 150, then even after 30 days of inactivity it's impossible to return to olvia channels.

you missed the point that there will be max 1k players on this server, so you thing you will be able to grin in peace after some1 invested 2b into it?

That's not true. I still got to Olvia and I have friends in game that won't pllay BDO any other way. It's good to take breaks from this game so you can keep your mental health in check. They put time again into something the majority didn't ask for (RNG channel bid system is dumb).

I may not understand all the fine parts of Black Desert Online, but I do understand corporations. Recently there has been a surge of huge conglomerates buying up these MMOs for ludicrous prices. Recently Swedish conglomerate Embracer Group, who already bought up GearBox, is buying Cryptic Studios for $103 million sale in February. Xbox has announced the planned purchase of Activision Blizzard for $68 billion.
If I owned such a property, I would be salting the mine for the potential sale. Pearl Abyss in the past has purchased Eve Online and might have their sight on other properties to acquire such as the Guild Wars franchise or something else entirely. While I don't share any of the conspiracy theories, the objective of all these gaming companies is to make money. After all, you don't go off to work with a smile on your face and say, "Today I should work without pay! That would make my boss so happy.". They also desire the vast majority to have fun, because there are too many avenues to pay someone else for the fun.
If you want a premium service, there will always be a price.

Games like BDO don't exist without free players. If the payers have too much advantage, the free players will leave. Then only payers will remain, who will not have an advantage over anyone, i.e. they will not see any sense to pay. So they will stop paying, or more likely they will also go away.
