Good morning everybody,

I'm quite an newbie in BDO, started around christmas when the steam sale hit and have been quite enjoying myself since then. But right now I'm not quite sure in which direction to proceed ... or if I'm really here to stay for the long run. Maybe here's someone who can help.

Where do I stand?

I'm a happy casual of advanced age and with too little time to really invest in progressing. Love adventuring, discovering, questing and raising alts (love the fact that BDO really rewards alts!!!). And I have to admit (what always made me wonder if BDO is my thing for the long run): I really hat pvp! My long time goal in Black Desert would rather be exploring all the zones, raising lifeskills and alts, doing all the story quests.

Started a corsair on season server, right now Lvl 61, AP 219/DP 257, Tuvala weapon PEN, armour TRI. Done main quest up to the Drieghan finale (ok, had to die my way through the Garmoth fight...). Next season pass challenge wuld be beating a boss from the rift's echo, but I kind of shy away from teaming up and bothering other players with my "just-klick-everything-in-reach"-moob-fight-tactics. I know I should gear up further, which as far as I understood, will result in a lot of grind and rng (for the PEN-weapons I used cron-stones, but read that you should'nt waste those).

So right now I've somehow lost the way and question myself which investment of time, blood and sweat is the right one for my type of player.

What are my questions?

1) How far do I have to improve my? I'm not interestef in progress or PvP, just wanna habe a good time chilling around, doing quests, adventuring, improving my lifeskills. What gear is required to finish at least all of the main quest? (I read that it gets a lot harder after Drieghan?)

2) Will my future be perma death? Right now I'm a protected species on the season server, but someday I'll have to face the hard reality of regular pvp-severs. Is it possible to do adventuring and all story quest line without being killed constantly by better players? Which are the zones you should avoid as a non-pvp-player?

3) Do I miss out on more than the last season pass rewards if I shy away from the rift's echo and don't finish season pass?

Sorry if my english is somehow crooked, it's not my mother tongue. :)

1) You don't need a high AP DP in order to finish main quests. Full PEN Tuvala from season will be enough for that matter.

2) Most of PvP happens on high AP spots right now. If you don't plan on going there, no one will be interested in you. Only some random attackers  on the road where they like kicking people off horses.

3) If you are that socially anxious that you can't even party up for a boss. Just do it yourself then. If you are not interested in the boss rewards, but only season pass challenge, then spawn it, kill 1 boss out of 3. It will complete the season challenge and you can leave.
