Con: No fruit vendor or herb vendor

I can imagine the place has a mosquito problem and occasionally sees a mosquito cloud or two. I don't get the geography of this game because east of there is a desert and it stretches north of Heidel and yet Heidel gets snow.

Pro:

Next to mansion

Easy to be with most people you might know like your guildies

Con:

You can't AFK fish there, it's always out of fish.

There's a lot of players there so FPS hits are guaranteed.

There's nothing that Heidel offers that other places don't offer.

Not the most efficient place for CP maximization

Can't AFK horse train without hitting a rat, forcing you to stop in the middle of the night

Farm isn't as good as next to velia

House can be pretty far from the warehouse meaning you have to rent a chest

it can snow in desert

i am pretty sure we are in southern hemisphere, southern area look cold while the northern look warm 

velia doesn't have enough workers and such. The others are kinda out of the way. Heidel is nice and central (at least for the original map,) and has tons of resources. It's a good place to main as a life skiller. It's large but accessible and Jordine is still hot tho.

but if you hunt whale velia is good spot to park your ship ^_^

Nice post, for me i always loved Calpheon, just an amazing town...found the perfect residence after hints from the forums the famous market street... alot space for little CP and close to the bank. 

My center of gameplay is around calpheon anyway though, i mainly train horses when afk on my beloved epheria ridge(already using that long straight for 5+ years now), no matter what game im addicted to i am still rising in bdo so no wonder my valk now comes very close to 2000 days played. Still got 2 big fences at epheria for t9 attempts feed, perfect at the horse spawn spots to grab a t5 if one is up.

That said i got a small residence in Heidel too, for emergency cooking etc, but my favorite will always be Calpheon.

My goal is to open a thread with PROs and CONs for each city at a certain point. I just need some time, otherwise, I risk a ban for spam :p Rn, I've started the threads about Velia and Heidel since I'm following the order of the main quest lines.
