It's fairly subjective, but one Con is that it's a bit of a favourite haunt of local bandits (Player Pvpers/griefers), moreso than any other location (I guess due to its popularity). The straight road west out of Heidel past Zara Lynch's farm, the trail through Heidel Pass north between Heidel and Velia or even out the front of the Manor, any of these places have been known to have unsavoury types lurking, either with matchlock in hand or traps on the road, or simply riding up and down on their horses knocking the unwary off.

I noticed that too, in some channels more than others I guess. I dunno, probably is just a coincidence. I often ride my horses AFK in Heidel and I always put a lot of attention on staying in the safe zone to avoid random people to kill me. Although, I notice this happening more in certain channels. Again, probably just a coincidence.

there's a lil pvp zone up there, but yea. I got hard griefed by those guys. It was funny cuzz they always knock me off and I'm like heh, but the one time I decide to play w/ doods someone has their 'life skill alt' out there and I'm red and etc etc. :):) Oh well, it's sad... but they really can't do anything. It's just like for that one moment you think someone is being playful but they are just trying to grief. Sad for them, but I guess they'll live on.
I dislike Elvia because of the weird muddiness and that it's like regs but different lol. Just too weird for me, seems cheap. But yea def people trying to do stuff, like I said don't get in your mind that those people are looking for a couple of rounds of joke pvp.
Pros :
- Very nice city inspired by one of the most beautiful and touristic region of France, Périgord (Beynac-et-Cazenac, Dordogne)
- Very well situated, the most central main city of the land.
- A charming weapon seller that can exchange your RBF seals to craft RBF crystals
- A Beautiful fountain.
- Numerous affordable houses to expand your depot
- Their leader is very, very concerned with the well-being of his villagers
Cons :
- Overcrowded, like a french touristic village during summer.
- While one of their blacksmiths is very charming and agreeable, the other one dares to sleep at night.
- One of their Inns experimented with elephant parking. It went wrong very quickly.
- Their leader is very, very concerned with the well-being of his villagers, to the point of being batshit insane

Really? :O
This never gave me any impression. I have to check this out myself some time. Logically speaking I know which inn might that be.

Some guilds managed to park their war elephants right into the Lilly Valley Inn (the big one notrh of the town)
It made the RPers who use this inn to ... Well, RP, go insane, leading to a review bombing campaign on the local Trip Advisor.

I am an RPer on EU. And I heard this used to be a common sight on NA server. Is it still?
Luckily on EU we can't witness it, because RPers do not RP only at one place frequently.
Edit: I thought i was on page 3 but was on page 2 and didn't see the previous posts about griefing. Agreed totally with your posts btw
Post before I noticed:
Another con is defintively the griefers at the borders of Heidel. Particularly these past few weeks, they wait at the edge and see if anyone will go out of the safe zone with their horse momentarily and attack them. They'll also attack players coming and go from town so it's pretty bad. They're that guild that recruits griefers, you might know the one I'm talking about. Their motto is literally to grief. So if you want to avoid them, you'll need a level 49 character to horse train and farm near Heidel. Also people are still trying to scoop players that are fishing with a boat.
Elephant parking: also big boats in the road by the stable sometimes. I think the town has a rip in reality somewhere... not sure if that's a pro or con.
