Really don’t expect them to listen to us (more so than any other class), but it all depend on how important shai really is to PA (She is very precious, to them and their long-term plans). Seeing her posted all over the place used in all events and such… This isn’t about them liking shai or showing us they care… This is about them retain control over shai image and definitions and avoiding her as an entity becoming community owned / driven /defined. (so I’m not a good thing as far as they see it)

They have more than double dipped with shai as an asset and exploited the player base*1. Understanding where PA are hoping to take DBO for its long term and shai position in that transition.. and how they are using her image and the player base to achieve that, and how important it is.. That’s what give us a chance to force them to listen (And we have tried it their way, I guess they think know one knows what their long-term plans are?).

Really isn’t and easy thing to do, but not to try, well that’s cowardly.

*1) shai had a set direction and definition. This didn’t go to plan for PA, they admitted it (in one of their older videos) and acted like they were going to adjust.. as they should, as they want us to spend money on shai. The player base where/are funding the BDO project, you listen to your player.

They gave the impression they were going to listen but have stuck strickly to shai longer plan and usage. E.g. mislead the community in order to obtain support and funds (im i wrong pa? here is where you can counter my argument, dont just have it deleted) and retained shai longer developments goals without adjustments (only making small changes that now they seem to be reverting, e.g her position as a top grinder)

This is why bugs, especial marked as PvP would be automatically low priority, anything classed as social would be highest priority.

Shai image, The push for lore, the push for NPC interactions improvements and voice, in-depth cutsceens.. More social tools in BDO from music to housing (even trying to change thier hash tag from #BDO to #Blackdeset, a wider platform , more than just the online game). All part of PA main directional change to sustain BDO long-term life (this is a good thing) shai is a very important part of this long-term plan, and they have been unwilling to listen and change because of that – That is not okay as they have mislead the players of shai and not been upfront about this.

They should have let shai change into that the community wanted and made new plans /class for their social transition , or be up front about shai development restrictions. They have done neither!

All we wanted, for them to listen and meet us half way… PA? Go on, if i have this wrong? This is your platform, where you could tell us if you wished, nothing stopping you.

What if the community takes control of Shai’s definition and image? PA won’t mind will they :P (how? by not beeing what they want and beeing what you want in your video, streams and social media - they wanna driect you, we do diffrent - takes courrage) #ShaiWar anyone ?! :P

After all , we have paid for her though BDO, you got your monies worth PA? she wasn’t part of any larger plans you didn’t tell us about?

yup.. that is PA saying 'this is what shai is' to the wider public. And not what we have made of her. They need that image.

Not a musician, passive and victim like shai... that needs looking after and help form others. You are not fulfilling your role as PA sees it, as PA planned and invested. They think such players have done them wrong. It won’t be all of PA making this bad choice /impression, just a few thinking what they are doing is smart and profitable, that their exploiting of such players is okay.. It’s not!

Very important to add here, DO NOT hate on CMs in game, they have very limited position They arnt doing this to you. Let them do thier job, but.... maybe at a live broadcast, nothing to stop 40 shai all screeming at once and saying nerf PA :P

And remember, this is not about if shai is still an okay grinder or not. It’s about if she is the best given her position as non PvP. Don’t confuse the issues and accept what maybe the higher gear shais will be saying, ‘that it’s not that bad’ (we don’t know yet)…

… its about PA being fair when it come to balance, at least close to fair… be it via Pve or actual lifeskilling buffs (Musa outclasses shai as lifeskiller)

Shai main here. Feelsbadman. Even more nerfs on global labs again this week I just do not get it. Please PA please listen to us for once and at least don't gut the class.

When we look at the steaming, we don’t see music concerts and shai life skillers… this is what PA wanted for shai. There is no organic move toward what PA planned for shai. So we have to have events set up for the musicians (all for that, I have done my best to support them too) but PA seem to think they can dictate the direction of shai and we will be happy.

We have had quite a bit of this dictating to us over the last few months (because PA is transisiton bdo a bit and it important to them), Form cut-scenes to pushing people away from solo shai and more into social. PA has listened to feed back on some issues but not shai (for reasons i have covered). Are PA that silly, or is there an issue with the feedback system?

Let’s look at what shai is in reality, what people stream?

It’s Shai being the hero of Pve, or shai overcoming her disadvantages in pvp and showing the world she not so little. The underdog! (not the victim PA want)

In the west at lest we appreciate the underdog story, we find this entertaining, and that’s why shai is played as she is. PA do not like this (they really don’t, it’s not what they invested money into – HAY YOU THERE, playing shai in this way, this is why PA aren’t listening to you, you aren’t what they want! You have to make a stink!)

To be fair, we don’t 100% know if shai is gonna be fully f-ed over until all class nerfs are in and we see if shai is top of the new pve (and noticeable so)… but if we’ve learnt anything, it’s not to trust PA, and to keep them under pressures, they have really show an ugly side of themselves (more than standard business practice).

I would hope that none shai player are seeing how part of their community was treated.. Looking out for the Gamer and not PA, but sadly until this last year, a lot of the none shai have been anti shai, made joke, said bad things about shai players (…that the staff let ride, even now, and that is not okay.. why did they let it happen? On the forum too), and done PA’s job for them

Even now there is a post in breach of forum TOS, be is the personal insults in that post or the fact it they trying to start a fight… The staff are letting it stay there. It’s been reported. What going on here?

(Side note for you to get angry about in pve balancing –shai has no protection on main damage dealer for pvp reason… PvP classes do. A bad shai will suffer and bad pvp class will not in cc zones… Turos would be a good example. – do PA take this into account? Nah)

I have two Shai. I spent money on the first one and bought other items. Now that i've seen the direction PA is headed forf Shai, my spending is over. Not even going to finish my season character (Corsair). Like someone mentioned earlier, I'll log in for rewards and back out until the event is over then i'm done. Good luck to everyone.

PA doesn't touch AWK Striker or Warrior but does a considerable round of nerfs of Shai PvE during PvP rebalancing testing. Says a lot.

the changes to damage recution rates if that what i think it is, was to keep the pvp Damage the same

example 20% became 9%

Pre pve nerf→ after nerf

* Hit damage: (Pve)1275%-(20%) = final pvp Damage 1020% → (Pve)1122%-(9%) = final pvp Damage 1021%

Same here. I only play Shai. I used to play Witch and Tamer but neither classes were my thing. I do have a character of each female class (sorry but I deleted SparcatusDeletus immediately after the sage event). Shai is what pulls me into the game and everytime I try different classes I move back to Shai.

The new "J" seemed like he was listening to player feedback a lot more than the previous "J". But I guess old habits can't really die. Oh well, if it's that bad with the new update, I'll be with you and play something else until they fix her again. I may not be a whale but I have spent quite a bit on this game. Upset enough people and those $600 players add up fast. Hopefully they'll revert their decision. Shai is a weak, expensive class and GL tagging her! You know you can't.
