Now separate pvp from pve or leave it as before but put unlimited hours on private servers, understand that there are players who love pvp and are delighted to duel with other players who are also delighted, but also understand that there are many more players who would be delighted to farm in peace without anyone bothering them as is my case, I have stopped playing for a year and I have started again now thanks to the private servers, put it unlimited or 2 or 3 hours a day, 1 time seems very short, the day I like pvp in this game, I will play arenas or go to the pvp server.

Well that's the thing isn't it? Almost every gamer prefers PvE around the world. People might make up stories like it's a korean game and koreans like PvP but that's far from the truth. Koreans are not aliens, they are the same as anyone else and we all just want to play games to get away from all the stress of life.

When you want to use a dozen or two buffs that you've been collecting for some time, many which are cash shop, do you really want to worry the whole time you're grinding that someone will be attacking you alone or in a group? No, so the whole time you're going to be on edge. You could swap servers but you can only do it once. If you hop onto a more congested server then you're screwed and have to wait 10 mins on an alt.

Open world PvP isn't even balanced, it's hardly even close. It's a significant problem and unless you're playing the best class using the best gear, you're going to have a bad time unless you are very fortunate and the other player is awful at the game.

There are PvP dedicated servers and there are PvP modes to play in. I think PvP should remain there. There aren't enough players to really make the world feel congested. If they want to solve congested issue, they can look at Elder Scrolls Online where wherever you go, enemies scale with you. It's part of what saved ESO at the time when they made that change. I think BDO could greatly benefit by going PvE with scaling enemies and longer private server times or just getting rid of them entirely. Open world PvP does not work in BDO it just doesn't. They could balance classes so much easier if they went that route than being stubborn about their dated vision of the game.

Nope. Asians have a different mentality, you can see it in the example of mmo games.

Western players like Korean mmo but want to play them on a Western rules.

Black Desert is again approaching the fewest players ever which is also proof that the Koreans do not understand Western players and do not listen to us.

Even more simple : there are plenty of Mmorpg designed for a pve oriented playstyle, right from the start. The pve experience there is far better because everything has been designed with pve in mind.

So why, WHY, are you choosing BDO? The experience here is based on a pvpve reasoning, you know right from the start that you may get annoyed if you really dislike owpvp that much. Still, devs made many tweaks to accommodate casual players, many possible protections... But they made it clear several times, they don't want to remove the possibility of owpvp. That's part of their game design.

What's worrying is that, in many cases, most of you don't even pay attention to pvpve players. There's this "pve vs pvp" mindset, "if I want to pve, I don't want to pvp" but... Hey, think about players who like to grind with the thrill of getting provoked or attacked during their grind. Even worse, they may have chosen BDO precisely because they wanted to play with like minded players.

It breaks the monotony of BDO, how many times have I read "BDO grind is too boring"...

Well, let's all connect the dots, my friends. BDO grind is monotonous... And there's owpvp... And other players...

The PK system needs to be improved. New Adventurers or fearful Adventurers are too scared to play.
Black Desert is an open-world game designed to allow you go anywhere, and let’s you freely enjoy your choice in playstyle. However, the level of freedom goes up, it means other Adventurers are able to interfere in the adventures of others as you stated. But there are a variety of safeguards put in place that don’t compromise the fundamental freedoms of the game.

First of all, there are many safe zones spread around, including towns and cities, the inability to PK characters under level 50, and the growth server Olvia has forced PvP mode turned off. In addition, we created an environment where Adventurers who recklessly PK are imposed with disadvantages that makes it difficult to harass an Adventurer. On the other hand, for adventurers who want to enjoy PK, we are continuing to develop a variety of PVP content, along with the Battle Arena, Red Battlefield, Arena of Arsha, Node War, Conquest War, and the desert itself.

We will continue to think about ways to make your adventures more enjoyable.

Almost everyone leaves BDO because they learn that the PvE in this game isn't worth the time. Even if it is good-ish, people get tired fast of the RNG mechanics, the casino mechanics and the PvP. The quests are 2-dimensional and boring. Everything about BDO is lackluster and people leave. You might think that the numbers are pretty reasonable but that's because PA focuses its efforts on replacing those numbers with new players. They never actually tailor the game to reward veteran players, only new players. Once they dry your coffers, they'll give you the boot somehow, whether it's them ruining the class you learned to enjoy or just waste 500hrs of your time through RNG that failed in the end.

If PA would stop destroying the game and make the game more appealing to the casual audience it would be a lot more enjoyable. Yes, there are plenty of other games out there and people know it, we move on and that's that. But if that's how you think people should be, then why would you even think there is a future for BDO? Eventually they will tap out the market and there will only be a handful of loyal players who paid to win so much that they feel like they are in too deep to leave. There are plenty of proper PvP oriented RPGs out there that do it right, BDO doesn't and the dumb hack and slash system doesn't suit its crappy engine (or servers) that lags behind.

I've said it before, open world PvP in BDO is not fun. It could be made good but it won't ever be because that's the quality standard they are aiming for. Mediocracy.

Edit: Several downvotes within seconds. That's fine, you can defend your meme game that is laughed at by pretty much everyone in the MMORPG industry. PA touted many changes and improvements for YEARS and they have yet to actually achieve any of those goals except the eternal winter expansion however it was so incredibly minuscule of an expansion that it can hardly be called an achievement. Instead of downvoting and leaving, downvote and say why you disagree. I don't think I'm being unreasonable since I've been patient since when was it? 2016? For improvements. It's clear they can't fix owpvp so turn it into owpve for most channels instead.

here are plenty of Mmorpg designed for a pve oriented playstyle,

So we are waiting for the mmo list:

- f2p

- full 3d nice graphics

- most content solo oriented

- no limits (eg. only one life skill profession per char)

- with many, many various activities

- freely changing control settings (and it is not so obvious despite the fact that it is 2022).

- no gacha s.

So name at least 10 or 5 if there are so many of them.

Please remind me, who are you to give me orders? XD

But yeah, one can always find excuses to not assume his wrong choice. Go make the list yourself, with your own criteria, I simply talked about the pve playstyle, the rest is up to you. Go, I'm waiting for it. Now.

And if you're in fact satisfied with BDO, welcome buddy!

(Yep, I have no reason to follow your little game. As usual, "there are none so blind as those who will not see". Don't choose a game if you can't like it!)

I specifically chose to play this game because it's a grinder that has open world pvp as well. Why do people choose to play this game without understanding what type of game it is and then try to change it or mold it into something else. Do you do any research before investing your time and money ?

Likely people aren't familiar with games like L2, Dekaron (2 Moons) , Hero Online, S.UN and others . How about 9 Dragons or Grenada Espada or even 12 Sky.  This Genre has been around for quite some time and thankfully games like BDO still exist.  Yes I've played games like ESO as well , in fact 6 years on that one and the truth is that people don't spend much time in open world unless they are leveling alts becaus the battle scaling makes it unchallenging.and boring after a while  ESO is all about Dungeons and Trials., nobody spends time in open world PVE

Just stop trying to mold every mmo into the same thing. People have different tastes.

You speak s., and when I want a specific answer, all you can do is keep barking.

So you can't name even one mmo similar to BDO.
