The enhancement mechanic in this game is as predatory as diablo immortal, I know you all know it is. It's a great monetization system from a business perspective. Hook your players on gambling mechanics, introduce real world currency to cushion that experience highly incentivizing spending cash and then destroy thousands of hours of work through failed enhancements in seconds lol. I haven't played in a couple years, logged in for lolz threw 18 tets at what started at a 192 stack, every single one failed, lol. It was a great reminder of why I quit to begin with. Even if something had succeeded I wouldn't of begun playing again. (I have 3 pens, so I have seen success before but the time sync is just not worth it anymore imo).

Whats funny to me, is that if you take away the desire to upgrade your gear the game kinda sucks at it's core. The most fun is small scale pvp and its in short supply, it isn't supported through the game mechanics itself (red battlefield is just a cluster F). Sieges are a joke due to desync and lag and the AI literally stand there doing nothing, they may as well be training dummies.

It's a very pretty mmo with a nice feeling combat controller and a horribly predatory and immoral monetization system. The developers of this game should feel ashamed. When this starts becoming the norm (IE Diablo Immortal) well it's a sad time for games as the days of just creating a genuinely fun game that monetizes through cosmetics only may be coming to an end for good.

It's nothing like diablo immortal. Here you have both options: time and money. It doesn't even take that long to get 8b for pen attempt, if you play the game. You don't even have to enhance, put a PO someone will do it for you. BiS gear should be very hard to get.

Crones from melting outfits. So p2w, nothing more. I saw the inventory of one Korean player who has full pen end game gear items. She had over 200,000 crons. 200,000 !!! I didn't have even 50,000 in all the years.

You can blame the obvious gambling with real money as much as you want, I'll even support you on that, but to be credible you have to stop spreading false informations.

You can perfectly get PEN accessories without a single cron, and some time ago, purchasing a PEN Blackstar weapon would have been faithful wishing... Yet, now you can. One day we'll be able to purchase even PEN Dead God.

So don't destroy your own legitimate fight against gambling with real money in a video-game, by using false arguments which only destroy your credibility.

As long as some use such argument, they'll get easily countered and WE will all lose credibility.

Predatory is a bullshit term used to describe RNG and I'm not afraid to say it. If you can't control yourself, learn to meditate and work on your discipline. It's not Pearl Abyss problem, it's whales who are addicted to the game that are the problem but at least their problem benefits us as a whole lol. Maybe someone will claim I'm victim blaming but I say the real victim is Pearl Abyss to be treated like some type of evil boogeyman predator.

The RNG is trash, it takes maybe 15 attempts to go from TET to PEN unless you one-tap but crons are free, your taps are free, if you feel compelled to buy costumes to melt them then maybe you have a problem. Again, you can buy the crons in-game and the costumes in-game. No real money used on your end.

Excessive RNG doesn't belong in a game, that much I can agree with but some people really like it. The fact that they did a Bugatti event shows you how rich some whales are and to some extent, how out of touch they are with their fanbase. Now, if you want to argue on why you shouldn't spend another dime on the game, I will agree that they hardly release new content and don't even bother fixing long-lasting issues with the game. But "predatory" is BS and it's nowhere near Diablo immortal. $700 worth of crons (at most but unlikely to ever get that high) versus $24000 for a single item in Diablo. There's a big difference. I'm not defending $700 being cheap but stating that it's nowhere near as stupidly low RNG. I think Diablo requires like 6 of said items or whatever it was. There's a diablo RNG simulator online somewhere, it's crazy.

Also I PEN tapped two different gear items using only J's hammer and I accidentally wasted so many of those hammers by forgetting to use them. 10k crons I think is 20bn silver. They also give away at least 10k crons per year. It's also unnecessary to get PEN on everything since the content for said requirement doesn't exist.

What false informations? This game is designed to prevent you from getting the best items. I wrote it many times and repeat it again: I can fail pen even a hundred times in a row as long as I still have tet.

However, when we fall into tri, we are at never-ending struggle to return to tet. Black star tri to tet with 100 FS has only 6% chance.

So you fail again, again and again. And finally you have pri, duo, or tri i.e. less than at the start.

So what's the point in such an enchantment that takes us back in progress?

I know people who have been playing since BDO premiere and they got their first pens .... from Jetina.

Or a better example: I wanted to get Manos Cook's Clothes tri, yes just tri. I enchanted from 0 up to duo. And for tri. What do I have now? Duo. One try for tri and return to duo cost me more (memory fragmens and shards price) than tri price at market. Where is the point in that?

It is also not possible to buy these pens from other players. I bought all mine black star tets and tungrads tets. Why? Because their prices are realistic. While the total price of 3 pen black star and 6 pen tungrades (which are not even an bis any more) is unattainable especially if the game forces you to play in 100m per hour zones because someone invented treasures only from specific mobs in specific zones. And let's not forget about open pvp which makes it even more difficult and even impossible to earn meaningful money.
