This is absurd.  Not only do they refuse to acknowledge, but PA throws a "fishing event" that exacerbates what was already an ongoing acute issue of Triple Float Fishing Rod supply.    

Triple Float Fishing Rods have been sold out for YEARS ever since PA removed them from the BSA rewards.  You can only obtain 3 rods once every 3 days, the other questline being highly convoluted and unreasonable.  

Fishing a hotspot without a Triple Float is moot point because the longer 60sec bite time mechanic of hotspots, lack of relics and prize fish from hotspots, null any silver benefit unless you are catching more than 1 fish per cast.  If you do not have a Triple Float, you are better off boating to Ross Sea, and fishing with a regular fishing rod stationary for relics and prize fish without the hassle of boating around searching for hotspots.    

Make a repairable Triple Float Fishing Rod. 

We have this whole hotspot mechanic spawning all over the seas, in which the item we need to fish them is not reasonably obtainable.  What an asinine thing to have this whole system in place that was programmed and players just can't do it because PA can't acknowledge a suppply issue that has been ongoing for years now.      

Imagine if any of the mastery gathering tools were not repairable and sold out like this on the MP?  There was no way to obtain them outside the MP other than questing and getting 3 tools every 3 days.  Imagine if the only other tools could be manufactured in game, but they added 1min gathering time and -500 mastery?  That is pretty much what is going on with Fishing.  And then to top it off, PA threw a "gathering event" where thousands of players put up PO's for the tools that have been sold out for years. 

I don't like fishing and do it only sometimes, when doing quests. I did the triple float quest once and I still have one left. Ain't easy to get these. Isn't madiah rod + maple float a good alternative?

you should just make a better one and max it out to level 10 and then you have a repairable rod and not have to worrie again

Hotspots are guaranteed yellow fish, so there is no point in using a rod that increases rare fish chance.

They could:

1. Change the Pilava Island quest so that you don't have to travel across the map to complete it (seriously, one of the fish only shows up in hotspots around Epheria)

2. Put TFRs into the Imperial Fish Seal exchanges

3. But them back into the BSA rewards.

PSA they wont do anything for fishing. Atleast not yet tho PA has taken a good turn on bdo they have done lots and lots of buffs and fixes changes even adding . Screw tripple float we need manos fishing rod/Net to catch more fish at once. Fishing could be so much more fun and loot tables are awfull needs big changes. No reason to make 5m selling fish overnight.. Wtf is that that wasent even good years ago let alone now lol.
