Hello,
I know I just made a topic on RBF the other day but I remembered this issue today and think it is more pressing. I also googled this issue and see some people making this suggestion a couple of times on other occasions and forums over the years.
Problem:
People misuse the "Escape Teleport" Menu function to dodge certain death in PVP. This rather silly hack seems to be used in open world but also super casually in RBF. Whenever I finally manage to grab someone in most cases the opponent just teleports away. Usual RBF painpoints are frustrating enough, but this super cheesy hack being applied by so many people really makes you wonder. The "V" escape is turned off already, so consequentially the Escape Teleport hack should be addressed as well.
Suggestion:
Simply turning off the Escape function during PVP or RBF might bear problems in itself, but I think fixing this issue by adding a general 10 second timer will do the trick. If someone really just got stuck, it wont be an issue to wait a couple of seconds to get teleported, but the person who is trying to hack himself out of certain death won't be able to.
Apart from all imbalances and pains, I think this one really is something that can be addressed easily and takes away a great deal of bad sportsmanship.
P.s: (If you misuse this function in PVP, what the hell is wrong with you, bro? Grow up.)
The V ain't disabled, it's just bugged, and trigger the cd when you enter into the world with your character.
Althrough that's an exploit if you can use the escape that way. You should die if it's used in combat.
Thanks for your comment. I see. Well it is a bit hard to see what is going on under the hood, honestly. I might be misunderstanding what's going on there. But I gotta say, it happens more often than not, that people simply go poof, whenever they're knocked down or grabbed.
It happens a lot in BDO, where some super hacky stuff gets to be best practice, even though it's "game breaking" by definition.
Well I tryed it and yes you can esc->escape currently while cc'd.
(It have cd though.)
I suggest that you shouldn't be able to esc-Escape unless you have 100% health, problem solved.

Uneless that you could not use it for it's function afterwards if you suck at low hp :D
But yeah, that a cheap and haxy solution would probably fit into the game, given PA also does such lazzy solution everywhere...
