CM prices keep failing to reflect the value of the items.

Something is horribly wrong when you invest more resources, more time in crafting an item only to sell it much cheaper than the sum of its ingredients, isn't it?
Like, for example, here, where the cost of the elixirs already exceeds the max price of the draught (and that without considering the CM tax):

Than leaves the cost burden for the Tears and the Ouk Pill squarely on the seller. And hah! Those Ouk Pills are soooo easy to get.

Obviously, this issue exists for a lot of other items on high demand on the CM (traces, saps, etc). 'Cause you see, PA made silver easy to get - especially for grinders. So it's a lot more convenient to just fork it out and save yourself the hussle of gathering or brewing. What's stopping PA from relaxing the grip on the max prices for such items? That would alleviate the problem on both sides, after all...

This issue exits since forever and was asked to be fixed many times, but apparently PA prefers socialist economy so get used to it I guess...

Its very simple, price is lower than self crafting cost, because there is chance of crafting X amount of items for price of 1. Its just to bad, those new items that can only be crafted  1 to 1 was added by different dev and he doesn't know about MP price forming, but fear not, this is okay, PA complitely fine to add conflicting stuff into the game because they swapping interns left and right before poor fella get to understand game abit so he could stop sh1t codding. Or maybe that act so, because they easy to fix this kind of bugs once they forwarded to them (Just like those questions to J during balls, when PA reacts very fast), i'm sure PA reading this feedback sections, for sure

I have been around for a bit and I'm used with it. What I found puzzling here is that while they seem to be trying to fix the issue (we had max price caps being raised - to the dismay of some of the players, no less), they're reintroducing the issue with the new items, making it even worse by - as Potato said - having this 1-to-1 crafting system, literally leaving you with no wiggle room to even recoup your investment.

Have one of the CMs keep an eye out on prices, I'd say. Surely they have ppl with this role that are partial to the lifeskilling side of the game, to avoid potential CM blunders. And, I dunno, based on supply and demand adjust max price caps every month or every couple of months. Even better, have the price cap increase on its own if the POs for non-pearl items are going crazy (as they are with some items).

Having a table of sorts with all prices for all items in the game and ensuring that, assuming all are capped, you don't go bankrupt from actually supplying the market with goods could also work, but that's too much rl investment for no real financial benefit.

So yeah, I dunno. I just think it's silly as it is. If I'm trying to make an analogy to grinding, it would be like... I dunno, not making enough silver to repair the gear you use fighting the monsters. And since I touched on the subject, gathering the mats (so as to not go negative when selling the final product) takes a lot more time (harvesting, running the dailies, etc) for a fraction of the profits one would make if that time would be spent grinding any Valencia spot in Naru gear. Yet most of the grinders rely heavily on getting everything from the CM, so as to not lose on that juicy silver/hour ratio... Bonkers! ^.^

Its fine for items to be lower then cost market shifts often. When price drops really low you can buy the item to sell later. however some items do need price changed. Pen manos acc for example and also Debo pen prices. Its a joke that they arent fixed. Also fallen and labreska Pen should have over 1 trillion price tag to be fair. You mite see a Fallen sold at 1 trillion someday even tho it costs more then that to get it. Its like 300-400b for item cost trillions.. Fuck sake fix that crap.

My real gripe with this is that they are new items with old CM-born disease. More than anything else. It pretty much shows how much thought it's being put into the min/max price caps...

It's fine, yeah, sure! So fine! The image in the OP doesn't have prices maxed. The ingredients aren't max priced either. Yet, however you're spinning it, doing alchemy "for the community" is literally donating your time and money to the people preordering stuff there. It is NOT okay. Not when you lose 80% of the silver you'd get/pour into the final product - and that before applying the CM tax.

It is, as I said above, also not okay to pour in the same amount of time as grinder, but in gathering, processing, running dailies for the Ouk Pills, etc and have a negative balance to show for it, pretty much. 4h to gather all the mats to craft the above pots (not counting the ouk pills). Only to sell them at... what you see there. Add the ouk pills into the mix and you're having a full time job on your hands, time wise, only to get what? The same amount of silver a grinder makes in... 10 minutes?
