I would consider adding at least one protected Ion generation skill beyond Prime:Brimbolt Raze (Obviously I'm excluding 100% and 200%, as you won't be able to use those consistently and on the later you have a 30mins CD.)

1 a. or make it so that Prime:Dragon's Fury adds SA to Abyssal Fang while under its effect. /and also remove stiff.
2. Or alternatively Prime Skewer with FG or SA and make the Knockback PVE only.
Either way, I don't particularly mind the Damage decrease for Succ Drak, however, both those skills are clunky to add in any PVP encounter, that is beyound a 1v1.
On almost every occasion you get CCed or desynced even while using your next SA skill as fast as you possibly can.
I've tried following both Abyssal and Skewer with protected skills but most if not all desync into a CC, even while the skill goes into Cooldown and the SA is shown on screen as activated client side.
Which leaves any drakania engaging into a 1vX the only reliable action to stock up on some Ions prior to the fight with spamming Prime: Brimbolt Raze.
Which is a silly way to encourage gameplay.
The character is designed to think about ressource generation but the player is locked out of reliable options.

Perhaps but all other classes with similar requirements/merchanics for additional ressources have frequent/various protected options to gain said ressource.
Such as Awake Nova, which approximately 80% of her skills regenerate star's breath, several of which are protected.
You can also take Mystic/Striker marshal shards into consideration for an equivalent mechanic to increase damage output through skill consumption. Which can be gained via several protected skills, relatively quickly and efficiently.
For another alternative to ressource generation, sorceress is a prime candidate, where shards can be gained either by attacks or can regenerate over time.
All of which show that alternatives exist, funny thing is, most of those classes can engage 1vX extremely well.
This class was designed to be a bruiser, her entire purpose is to "literally" jump into larger fights but I am specifically calling a need for ressource management to be more flexible in any scenario.
And by stating 1vX, i would suggest that 1v2 could also be tricky at times, as again you're limited in your options to gather ions, without risking an immediate CC. And not to counter my own point with regards to damage reductions, but for drakania any damage reduction is 2 fold with these mechanical changes. Damage is reduced by a flat amount from the nerfs but you're also reducing the options for her actual damage input gained from ions. Drakania's damage without Ions is probably a fraction of the DPS for most other classes. Adding to the slow animation of skills, you end up in an awkward position. Drakania is meant to be short burst of high damage but with how they've changed her options in Ion generation, you're handcuffed to specific scenarios and if you divert, you practically punished.
Been gone for a minute and just noticed the change to the Ion charger. The regular gage is gone and there is a big dragon head symbol floating around instead?? Shift+Q doesn't charge it and the the skills that used to get a boost from it no longer have that boost. Any chance someone can fill me in?? I'm super frustrated with the change. About ready to trash this game.
Edit: Also just noticed they took the cool arial spin move she does when you hit Space after Shift+RMB. Why would they remove that?! And if Shift+Q doesn't charge Ions anymore, WTF is it for??? What kind horse shit is going on right now?! Someone save this ignorant pleb trash of a player!!!

The UI was changed for Unique class ressources a couple of weeks ago, to mixed (read, unhappy) feedback. I am not sure if we will ever see the "new" versions of these ressource icons return.
Shift Q was changed to not regen Ions due to the overbearin strength that Drakania had in PvP scenarios, especially large scale. The Shift Q skill especially allowed them to reset a fight while in enemy groups, and continue using Ion skills without much of a risk, or effort to recharge Ions. Additionally it could be used to pre-buff as well (by charging Ions without needing a target). Due to how high Draks impact in PvP was, we will need to see how the nerfs affect her before judging further.
The skill is still useful to make time for cooldown, Mana steal and heal the player. It can also create space for teammates due to the Mana drain threat. I would reserve judgment on the skill for now.

I'm assuming they potentially meant the E Buff's Ions generation and ion cost negation.
All it does now is increase the Ions gained by Skewer and Abyssal Fang while under its effect.

Sadly I'm neither playing drak nor guardian (much), so I'm not as familiar with the skills. I would recommend you check the Drakania discord and ask the experts there, as they will be the most helpful in letting you know of any changes or tips / tricks on the class. You can easily find the discord server on google.

My mistake. After playing for a bit I realized I had remembered wrong. It's not SPACE after SHIFT+RMB, It's LMB after SHIFT+RMB. So they didn't take it away, thank god.... Sorry about that.
A frontal gaurd on the stun and the right click would be nice to have. I'm talking in terms of pve. The nerfs to the ions is fine as long as you give us protections to gain. Them more efficently...
