Well the game was kinda DOA, it was a recycled game rereleased on a different name after it failed hard so.

I tried to give it a go once. But I decided to abandon it. I didn't like the game for it's mechanics and aestetics(Cherry of the cake: I find an item described as an armor for my... Tank class. After equipping it, it looked like a school girl uniform xD). Having futuristic machines in a fantasy-medieval-like game is a bad combination. Such games never got my interest. The only exception was Tera.

I was planing to try it, but the smartasses announced that the market will be caped like in bdo so I hard dodged it, but that was a prety big red flag already so...

Elyon was a Tera reskin.

Well it was totally obvious anyway...
Elyon is something no one ever wanted compared to Tera.

Even on Tera with all those exaggerated 360° changes they made where all those items you farmed long way got suddenly completely useless and could only be sold on a vendor for nothing much, and other things, too which actually no one asked ever for either..., still it had its flair and was still played.
At that time on release the new dynamic combat system was pretty new, the whole world in Tera was really exciting to explore, it was really nice build fantasy world with all the lights and really nice looking environment. you definitelly saw the creator of this loved their project! (I'd even say I'm missing such a fantsy build world in Black Desert) Also at that ttime (2011- EU release 2012) it was one of the best looking ones for that time.

Still have to add, even after 11 years they still didn't make it to release the whole world of Tera...
To admit you already could saw they didn't want to take much effort in Tera anymore since they only were putting our more and more of the Territories and new classes got racelocked- which was actually a trademark of Tera, different races for every class having evne their own skill animations. That was clearly already the beginning...

Now let's compare to Elyon.
They totally obviously abandoned Tera for Elyon, yea...

But why shoud people ever go to Elyon???

First: It was the exact same old outdated game engine, even not a better version of it but the exact same... (Unreal Engine 3 had a few updats either in its life story)
But even worse! The animations/Skill animations and environment movements were even more clunky or they didn't even add some...
While in Tera your hair, clothes and yea, super importand of course xD - the boobs of the females where waving or jiggling. Even on males or general all the races you even saw they were breathing.
Not in Elyon... So partly didn't trees and else, so why the f*** not?!?!?
We're living in 2020 already!

And second, yea, it was for the most things a copy of Tera at all, but in worse...
Also same boring questline, and like in every fantasy RPG nowadays- dunno maybe its new culture or new trend, but classes were really bad balanced either...

So what do you expect?  Taking away a running game where all the effort and stuff, even partly money was in, and start from point Zero if you'd go to Elyon will obviously not provide happiness if the game is even worthe in many aspects and outdated...
