It happens frequently that i can't get inside my own house, or any other houses as a visitor; the green letters (house number and city) do not show up on the top of the doors.

I must quit the game and start new in order to get in.

Does anyone have a clue about this?

Yes its a 3+ year old futures, you didn't paid your rent.  You don't need to fully quit game, going to server selecting screen is enough. Its happens mostly because of farming fence, sometimes its happens because of NPC interaction.

What is important this is not bug, as a bug its was fixed like 2 years ago, so its must be intended mechanic!!!!!11123

OP, yes. I found that swapping between characters and then quickly going to a housing area seems to cause this issue. Might be unrelated and a coincidence but perhaps it needs to download a certain list and fails to do so under certain conditions? Unfortunately I opted to move to the mansion so I haven't experienced it with the mansion so far. I do sometimes have the inability to summon the black spirit using the "," key if swapping between characters and it often crashes if I swap too many times.

IMO I really think there's something buggy with character swapping and it can cause a heap of issues. Does your issue usually happen after a charcter swap or just normal?

It usually happens short after logging in or, like you said, after character swaping.

At first i did change server, but dident help, so now i go straight to relogging.

Yes, i believe that too, because sometimes when i get inside, the game does not load any furniture whatsoever, so i go out, then entering again it loads normally.

I dont have the Mansion, just a normal house in Heidel.

Yeah, this happens when your house doesn't render properly.

There are two ways you can fix it without completely logging out:

1. Run out of town far enough that the residence will re-render when you come back.

2. Swap to a character in a different town and back.

So I usually take the opportunity to prune my gardens or pick up daily scrolls on my daily character.
