What a shame to call it races and worse yet to create a seasonal ranking with a special trick algorithm that allows the late entrants to have a higher speed than the first ones.

With over 100 races under my belt, I have studied the question well and the speed difference is obvious. I even voluntarily let the others leave with almost 10s in advance, and very soon after I was back again! It is particularly obvious when a participant misses a gate (checkpoint), his horse becomes a rocket!

Knowing the circuit and the tips, I manage to take 10 to 20m in advance at each key point of the circuit ... but in vain, since at the last turn, everyone has already caught up with me while I am optimized in +10 and I do not make any mistakes.

How disappointing! What is the point of trying to make the perfect race, to take good lines, a good start, to spend time optimizing the equipment since all this has absolutely no interest and brings no benefit ... what a disappointment!

In the end, everything is played in the last acceleration, and whoever presses the boost at the right time wins!

Shame on you developers for having so little regard for those who like to race (real)!

Yeah this is well known. If the daily rewards weren't so nice (especially for T9 lottery ppl) this game mode would be a ghost town.

Play Balenos track only. It has the tight spots at the end of the track and thus skill matters much more than on Calpheon/Mediah tracks. Calpheon especially is a joke.

I dont know i played the race for the loyalty things, and actualy i was surprised to see an actual balanced "pvp" with no random sh#tty rng or gear to win mechanic. After sure i played with the lvl1 horse not leveled so i guess i played into the "everyone with the same base horse" category.

And so far i've saw, it only depend how you know the race / manage your ressources at a given time.. I didnt had the feeling they was cheating in somes way that """skill based""" race

If you haven't noticed the blatant handicap in this game mode you are probably playing with your eyes closed.

Try it yourself. When the race starts sit tight for 15 seconds before you start racing. You will catch up with the others before the finish line easily.

play eyes closed and still finish between 2-4 spot, guess i need to further developp my irl Jedi skills.

It would not be the first "racing game" to provide a help for the last player.

Now at the point of providing "advantage" the entier race no matter what it would be strange. Now to know if its really a thing, or if you are just more used to race compare to others players, it would need further testing ( and be able to choose vs who you want to race, to requier them to have a constant behavior during the race )

Or have PA reveal their horse race secret, thing i doubt it will happen.

just need to see if others have the same experience ( as personal i confess i'am lazy to go run somes "tests" about that )

So what you're saying is......  they just made MarioKart, but with horses?

Weird flex,  but hey,  it's still working just fine for Nintendo.  Why change it?

what they NEED to do is make it cycle between just 1 map every week, not enough people to play all 3 maps, and splitting players, in the long run, is extremely bad for the health of a game mode.

or have an in-game option for players to vote which map to play the next week, unless it's a new map then let it stay at least for a week then go back letting players decide which map to play

Please. Just do as I said. Wait at the start line for 15 seconds and then race. Look at your finish time.

That's all the research you need.

And if you're racing anyway, I can promise you're not losing any races because of this test :D
