Hello all !!   :)

Its my first posting here, I really felt the need to write something which is very obvious to me but not obvious to other players and maybe GM too.

Recently we enjoyed an incredible increase in prices of milk, eggs etc.

So far so good, especially for those players producing and just selling - not cooking those ingredients.

Who used to buy milk and eggs?  Ofc those who wanted to cook a food based on those ingredients...

Prices of food produced by those ingredients increased at all?? - was it affected by such an incredible increase 100% of ingredients prices?

No!...it wasnt!

How its possible to make some profit now by keep on cooking those kind of foods?

Its totally unlogical to keep on cooking them and players will realise it and start cooking something else instead.

As an example look what happened with honeycomb cookies "profitability".  They used to be some of the most profitable to cook and sell but now, everything changed!

They have become..one of the best ways to lose your silver!   What a change!

In general we all know that when inflation hits some specific ingredients/materials, then all their products increase as well in price...

Yes, by increasing those prices 100% and "shocking/shaking" the Market you did succeed to make it "easier" for players to buy those ingredients.

But have you thought that "maybe" players will NOT buy them so much anymore because you made it so unprofitable to cook something based on them?

Is it "positive" that nowadays you simply "kill" the part of the Market related to food based on those ingredients??

Thats all for now, I really hope my thoughs here will help and things in the Market will turn more logical...

Thank you for reading...

Have a nice day  :)

I see no problem here at all, before you could not buy any them for MP and had to self farm them, so just don't buy them and price will fall down to minimum if ppl willing to sell it.

These are the consequences of making bad changes by a dev team that doesn't know their own game and don't play it.

Players want more money from life skills, from gathering so PA increase mats max price. But same time final product cost more and don't give any profit so players stop buying mats at all.

Same story was with meat: we had a million preorder and now there are a million pieces of meat that nobody wants to buy.

And the solution to this problem is very simple:

1. Price of imperial crates should be significantly increased - 10-20 times.

2. Fairy powder should cost not 10k but 1m.

Only then will it make sense and profit for everyone.

Eventhough I am producing eggs in 3 farms, I used to buy A LOT of eggs from the Market, at highest prices, with 50k-100k  preorders!!

Yes, I could buy them eventhough it was looking "impossible", so I dont think there was such a huge problem to buy from the Market, you just had to do a decent biding and could buy,...

Now I stoped buying eggs, also stoped producing cookies to sell, is this positive for the Market?

The market will adjust itself, as it should be. If ppl stop cooking with them, they will be cheaper, that's how the market works.

Totally agree!  "the  Market will adjust itself, "as it should be"....so, lets sit and wait and see what happens, and "if" they become cheaper as they should, will be interesting to see if the Market is totally "free" to "get adjusted by itself" ....I hope for the best!  :)

I don't think the market will adjust itself, there is too great of a demand (high count of players unwilling to gather eggs/milk etc). It will always be max price with a PO in demand. The problem with the "market will adjust itself" is that it only does so if it's unrestricted, meaning we can pick prices for what we believe things are worth. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) BDO has set market prices. But because they have set market prices, they need to hire someone full-time to make adjustments as needed or create a bot that figures it out since it's all math anyway. I know GW2 has full time accountants to deal with market rates.

While combat was adjusted for inflation (mostly), lifeskill was never adjusted and this includes lifeskill gear. There is a higher profit margin by selling raw materials than the end result and this is pretty much for almost everything crafting related.
