Absolutely not. I occasionally buy a value pack but  I do not want to be forced to pay for the other two buffs that I do not need.

You are not forced of anything.

I don't want to have to pay for 3 buffs when I actually want only 1.

The actual choice is good for me.

If you wait for a 1 + 1 pack you can slash that 65$ in half and from whats left you can substract another 20% to 40%, if you wait for the right cupons and sales.

The one thing i find a bit greedy is the different policy compared to kakao concerning loot boxes. With kakao it was dirt easy to buy kama and old moon buffs from the mp while pearl abyss focus all their sales on costumes that only end up being crons and clicked out of the game with no other benefit. I get it that this is to maximize income because at least SOME people WILL spend real money to buy those buffs when they not available at CM. But its still a bit greedy

If they merged all of the optional buffs into a single premium subscription, i would buy it a year at a time. I'd be happy if it also merged the icons in the top left of my screen - a single icon for subscription, rather than separate icons for value pack, kama, old moon. I agree also that it "looks" better to outsiders - the idea of one premium subscription is simple and acceptable, but the idea of several separate subscriptions all optional have the feel of "nickel & dime."

Seriously, I do not understand how is this even a thing, why do we require 3 separate buff packs just to enjoy this game like it should be in the first place (having penalties for not having these "buffs" should not exist imo).

Not only that, but the prices just seem to be over the top.

Take a look at this Kamasylve's Blessing that also comes in a small pack of some other cool stuff.

 Cool.

Price? 1125 Pearls (for the standalone buff) - Which is something like 11,25€ and with a lucky discount coupon (don't use it on something like this, please), I can actually get it for under 1000 pearls! That's 9€ which means that I can buy 10€ worth of Pearls, get this small pack with the blessing, and still have 100 pearls under my belt!

But what if there was no coupon to add even more discount to the already discounted price? Can we add 11,25€ to our accounts? No, we have to insert 20€ instead.

But how about there's nothing on discount, what if I want to buy all those buffs, just to "enjoy" the game and have a smoother experience?

Well, that'll be 6500 pearls which equals to roughly 60€ - because you can actually buy a Pearl Box for 60€ that grants you 6000 + 600 pearls (6600) when you open it.

Now, I actually want to compare these pseudo subscriptions of Black Desert, with other MMORPG's that I've played/tried/known about, and more specifically, compare the prices with their actual subscriptions versus the amount of that we need to spend on these buffs (for Black Desert).

So, in comparison with Black Desert, we spend only about 11€ to 15€ (or $), for a subscription that we have to pay to access the game. These prices are not taking into consideration that we have to buy the Base Game and Expansions (as is the case for FFXIV and WoW).

Still holding onto this comparison of subscriptions, I want to point out that, whilst you can play Runescape for free, paying for a Membership fully "unlocks" the game for you. In comparison to Black Desert, however, to fully "unlock" the game, I have a 60€ pay wall...

And I'm not even considering what else you have to pay just to have a smooth time in Black Desert.

I don't want to beat around the bush too much, so I'll rest my case here.

I sincerely hope that Pearl Abyss takes this feedback into consideration, because, the world is getting grimmer and money is getting thinner. I think they should've updated the prices on these buffs for the longest time already, or just combined them in some sort of a pack for a fair price. I won't be going into what is a fair price, for I'm pretty sure that PA has employees that are much more classified for doing so.

Sorry for the long post but I feel that this is quite necessary.

Might post this elsewhere too, to bring attention to the devs.

With how lackluster the content drops are - the amount of cut content and the low quality of the outfits come to mind - I don't think merging the subs will do much. Sure, they'll clean up the UI, but there's still no incentive to actually support the game. Ice fishing in MoEW and skating were sliced, group bosses in LotML axed, all the outfits from Oblivion onward have either rigging issues, texture issues or both. Lifeskilling QoL updates are taking the piss at the lifeskillers making the masteries irrelevant (see Training, see Trading, see most professions on season except for maybe gathering). Why would I want to support the company when the company keeps telling me it's raining, while it's painfully obvious that's no rain?

And the funny thing is, the worse the quality of the content, the fewer people that are willing to support the game (especially with so many eye candies in the MMO space getting close). And if the sales dry up, the publisher will be inclined to, instead, offer fewer or lower discounts. In our case, PA being both, dev and publisher, will end up having fewer resources to allocate to BDO, leading to more botched content and a continuous upset playerbase. Free stuff thrown at us is nice, but at some point that can't compensate for the cumulative screwups.

I stopped buying the subscriptions and I will not buy again any as long as PA has this approach to both, the game and the playerbase.

Just like every other MMO BDO should have a subscribe fee that should be like 20€ including every buffs that you need in order to experience the game how it should be.

The Value Pack should be that subscribe fee and it should include kamasylve blessing and the old moon secret book.

Consider how happy your customer would be from this change, it would also put BDO on par with every other MMO right now.

Yes it is less money right now but in the long term more people would be happy to pay the right price for it and you may even get new people into BDO.

I feel like this suggestion is two-fold:

On one hand you want the items that currently cost 45 to cost 20.

On the other hand you want items to be merged so that you can no longer but it separately.

I certainly don't think the latter is useful. If they were to suddenly make everything twice cheaper I'd still prefer to have a choice to buy it separately.

Or we could keep all the buffs as they are and have them add a combined value pack that unlocks all buffs which does not need an alternative UI icon. This combined value pack could be the price of 2 separate buffs. The seperate buffs should be around 10 euro/dollars each for a month. And the combined one could be around 20. I personally would pay for the 20 bundle for a year. The prices could also be more around 15 for seperate and 30 combined or so if you choose to buy monthly, but then release a yearly bundle so that we can get some sort of sale where the price will drop to 12x 20 for the combined one and 12x 10 for each seperate one. Rn im not really running buffs that often since I think the prices are just rediculous. 20 euro for all buffs is more acceptable.
