Improvements for Horsetraining Lifeskill.

Hey :)

so i started training horses to prepare mats for the t10 doom lately and i noticed, that horsetraining is the most useless/boring lifeskill in the game.

Heres the Problem:

In the time where you actually want to play the game youre forced to sit there and look at your monitor for hours or watch netflix, while your wagon rides from the northern exit of heidel to the eastern one and back... comeon thats not fun.

When doing this, players are being forced to NOT play the game active... Thats not good.

Especially for the majority of players who dont want to or cant run their system the whole night or when theyre at work. They can not play the game they enjoy anymore because theyre stuck on a horses back. I'm sure because of electricity prices growing strong in the last months the number of players who dont want to do this will rise aswell.

To Sum it up.. the current method is not playerfriendly.

Solution:

Please add a training method that includes workers to train horses, so that people can do something productive in the meantime.
Ofcourse there have to be limitations to this.
- You shouldnt be able to have 20 horses run at the same time (i think 4 is perfect since u cant put more on a wagon)

- The xp rate also should be lowered for horses trained by workers (maybe by 20-25% + a decreased chance to learn skills) 

This way, people who like to stick to the only method thats available now have benefits in comparision to people who dont want to do it. (Obviously the do it yourself method should always be better)

The introduction of worker horsetraining would also make it possible to change gained xp depending on the type of worker.

- Goblins=small/light> horse faster >more xp

- Giants=big/heavy> horse slower >less xp

1or2 worker energy per horse levelup (or maybe per hour trained) should be enough.

This could give the lower energy goblins a better use in the whole worker system (to me atleast they seem a bit useless now)

It would also make possibilities for new worker skills to specialise your worker empire in that area like for example

- horsexp +5%

- less energy consumed on training

I hope you like this Idea to further improve a great Game.

There are several possibilities for horse training and this is a good one.
Any activity that forces you not to play but just wait for it to be done is no fun. What you're proposing is some sort of farming for horses.
Even with workers, it's not really fun. It's practical and easier but not fun.

i believe, some sort of interaction would be nicer so it's something that can still be done afk or not. Players choice and more benefit for the ones actually doing it.
Don't really thought about how but seeing your horses in an enclosure run around would be nice.

When we are activly training a horse skill it should be big exp. As it is there is no exp. For example, when i train a horse to sprint it takes me arround 30-40 minutes actively working the skill doing the mini game over and over and there is no exp. I could just ride the horse back and forth afk and get more exp than i do training a skill. Yet there is no reward for acualy playing the game. This should be fixed.

There is also another thing that needs work, afk training on a loop is very buggy and you can easly get stoped or lagged off rout and then stopped. There should be a "horese track/training ground" you can afk train and not worry about lagging or some other thing stopping your training. you can fish all night with no problems, you can afk at the dummies with no problems, but if you afk train you are just rolling the dice.

Yea the method is basically like workers in the garden that are taking care of the plants :) Its a nice adition to the existing system but it does not help with trying to do this lifeskill active tho.

Maybe giving horses huge xp when theyre used in trading and carry the trading items from one node to the other could help. Then you actually have something to do and the horses gain xp for that. 

I dont realy have any other ideas how to make it better doing it active, will think about it though.

It would be cool to have ranch like Stonetail. Space for horses to be trained and less traffic in Heidel. :)

Otherwise there will be the same problem as with gardening: using workers does not progres life skill responsible for farming.

I'm all for a giant horse sized hamster wheel that you can put your horse in, pay some silver and come back for it next day :p

I dont think so because most of horse lifeskillers will cry to much about that probably so much that it wont be introduced to the game at all...

I also didn't enjoy riding horses all the time just to get the Flower of Oblivions when I tried to get a T10. Took me about a week 1 try. Of course it's faster if the PC is permanently on, but who wants that, you're often stuck anyway...
So I spent most of my time riding horses instead of playing the game. I didn't spend any money on the game during that time either, not sure if PA wants that...

However, I don't like the idea of a worker training the horses. If you want to get the horse, you should make some effort.

I would like to see the following changes:

1. Add a daily quest which requires us to level up a horse (t6-t8) by 1 lvl in order to get Flower of Oblivions as a reward. More flowers depending of your trainer level (not just 1 more for guru please).
(That would actually make your freshly caught lvl 2 potato t6 usefull :)

2. Reduce the horse spawntime to 10 minutes.

3. Let us trade Hunter's Seals (from bosses, scrolls) for Extra Mount EXP Scrolls.

4. Buff Extra Mount EXP Scrolls :)

5. Buff pets which give horse exp a bit.

6. Add a slot to the riding crop. Add a crystal for the riding crop which increases the horse exp while ACTIVELY riding. No autopathing! Only working for horses below lvl 30.
The crystal can be exchanged for Imperial Training Seals (50?)
