Title: Create an "item collection" menu that tracks every item you've ever found or looted, with minor rewards for collecting 1 of every item
Family Name:
 Veltas

Region (NA/EU): NA

Suggestion/Comments: A friend showed me how in Runescape, there is a menu in-game that does something like, tracks every item that can drop as loot or be collected via gathering or created via crafting. So some players work towards the grand goal of finding every item in the game to complete their item collection log. It sounds like a long and arduous  journey, but the concept fascinated me. I want something similar to this concept in BDO, a game that is all about acquiring items and wealth, that has so many things to find in so many corners of its world.
What if I had a menu that showed me not just what loot dropped at each grind location, but also if that item ever dropped for me at that location?
What if I had a menu that showed me which items my family has picked up while grinding, and also which items I still must find?
What if that menu showed me my current percantage of items discovered, and remaining count of items still to find?
What if that menu included other neat statistics like, what is the rarest item I ever found, what percent of other players have found it too?
What if you could even see absolute counts pertaining to the item statistics in the list like, "1 Shining Alchemy Stone of Destruction currently exists in your region" or whatever?

Are you ready to find out just how long it takes to get Manos clothing to drop at blood wolves, and actually get a checkmark in a menu to show that you did? Would you actually go back there just to get it and see that section of the item collection menu say "COMPLETE!" or what? I think I would!
Are you prepared to get some minor nominal reward for reaching 10% item log completion, or 20% item log completion? Could you imagine which players would actually get above 99% item log completion? Maybe the player Ranking menu would have another tab added to it for ranking this, so you can see which logged-in family on your server has the most items collected.

I want to be inspired to go on a collection quest to find every single item in the game. I want a reason to go to every random spot in the world again - not just for knowledge grinding, but for even more to work on.

Dorin Morgrims journal, and Deve's Journal, and the existing Knowledge grind - are sort of related to this general idea of needing to find things. Well I say let's expand it!

This sounds unnecessary, and at first glance sure it is. But there is a player psychology to this; that if you give me a list of all the things in the game to find, I'm going to start ticking things off that list as I find them. And as I realize myself nearing certain milestones or thresholds, I'll be motivated to continue hunting for more things to tick off the big list. I like lists. Show me a list of every item in BDO and I'll work through a lot of that list. In my opinion, this is the sort of "sticky" feature that gives people even more to do with their time in game.

I actually think this is a great idea that could generate *a lot* of content for completionist minded players.

Not quite the same thing, but have you completed the knowledge section for all the things you can craft and gather?  I'm still working on that (and getting S Knowledge on mobs), adding another layer to this would be overwhelming.

I never found these knowledge entries compelling because they're not tied into any energy gains. There's virtually no benefit outside of maybe getting an additional 50,000 - 150,000 silver / day from family fame.

I'm all for it until I realize that part of these items are things that I'll never get like a PEN blackstar for every class for instance. As long as they keep it as items you find in the wild only and not what you can craft then I'm all for it. Otherwise it would be very, very, very discouraging.
