You can already get all rich merchant ring pieces by lifeskilling: Trading. Sadly trading is beyond outdated and getting the full ring by trading takes more than 50000 hours average. Ring piece 1/ ash forest piece can be obtained by selling the trade items which can be bought from the trade manager in the western part of Valencia city. Ring piece 2/ Padix piece can be obtained by selling the trade items which can be bought from the trade manager in the northern part of Valencia city. And so on for the other pieces. It used to be the original way to get the ring before you could grind for them but nobody ever got more than 2 pieces by trading I think.

Just bring trading up to date again and add mastery for active trading.

If you would kindly give me the reference where you found this information about getting the ring pieces from trading, I did my best to search and did not find this information.  Not sure we are allowed to put active links from other sites or if you can just direct message me.   There is a reference in the BDO COdex but the info seems questionable.

I understood and may be mistaken that when the changes to trading were made in 2020 https://www.naeu.playblackdesert.com/en-US/Adventure/History?_groupMasterNo=353

and that all of the previous methods for obtaing the ring pieces were removed from the game with the update.

I am an active in Trading on BDO.

I would at like to at least try to get the pieces without having to obtain High AP-DP gear and then having others help me to grind thoses areas.  As with most who lifeskill, playing the game solo and achieving goals without being helped by others offers the greatest satisfaction    I believe that having an exclusive ring for Lifeskillers would benefit the community and my suggestion for the requiements is meant to be a starting point.  I got my 1st ring piece back in 2018.

I just checked the link and it even says you can still obtain the ring pieces with the old method.

I forgot when it was but a few years ago there was a big datamine. Even the chances for the pieces were datamined. It was that big datamine which prompted them to show most hidden stats in-game.

Anything but the first 2 ring pieces is pure insanity to even try to get by trading. But that doesn't mean we need other lifeskills to be able to drop them. Trading just needs a revamp so it's relevant again and the chances for the different ring pieces need to be adjusted to be similar like the grinding chances.

Addition thoughts:

The intent of this post was to bring awareness to either adding a Life Skill Merchant Ring and or improve the current Life Skill requirements of the ring pieces which are outdated!

Drop rates should be based on difficulty (effort-amount of items obtained) (IE: Higher Guru level or Mastery level)

Special item for obtaining (IE: Specific recipe for Cooking, Specific craft item for Alchemy, Specific item for Gathering, Specific Hunting Beast, etc), however recipe does not require item from gathering or hunting (Double Dipping).

Drops should have a Minimum amount of items (or kills for hunting, fish for fishing, etc.) obtained before the drop occurs, and a maximum level amount of items collected (or kills for hunting, fish for fishing, etc.) for a guaranteed method of obtaining (IE: a Marni type sensor)
