As with every single event, it's now the new low :) ~1.1bil worth looted from 3 billion spent. Other weeks have been around 2bil.

There is a reason those boxes to be calles Scamkatu boxes from all the comunity...

Most things random are a scam.  It was my grandfather who taught me this while camping.  It was late at night and I asked him why he didn't go to the casino with grams?  To explain it, he looked up at the night sky and said, "Let's play a game.  Pick a star and if you pick the same one as me, you win $10. If you don't pick the same star you pay me a dollar."  I told him, "That's crazy! You would always win."  He said, "And that is why I don't go to the casino with your grandma.".

I am still new here, I don't have 3 billion silver to spend on set of ten boxes.  I have been told many of you think 3 billion is nothing.  However it has to be worth something.  I looked at the cash shop, you can buy an outfit for $30 cash, and sell it in the market for less than 1 billion silver.  That alone tells me 3 billion silver has a cash value of roughly $100 or more.  If you grind 3 billion, how much time does it take?  Then how much is your time worth to you?

I am glad for wise old men, who know better than to wager on the stars.

It's a gamble... and just like pretty much everything in the game that say "according to a set probability" or whatever, you may or may not get something good. 

On my 6th box, I got a 'choose your tet manos clothes' box, I came out on top. EVERY other box I got was like yours including the one I got with the seals. 

It's not a scam - it's gambling. You never know - you could do just one more and get that 50000 crons. Would it be a scam then? At least it's just with fake money that took you time from grinding to get and not REAL money. Some people gamble with LOTS of real money... which I'd never try.

So the reasoning behind milking in-game money out of players is that they go spend real dollar to replenish?

I mean why not make random box (it's virtual money, we spent time farming), that rewards ~300mil for everyone, 5% gets a bit more and 0.01% gets a lot more out of it. Everyone would be happy, event boxes are really like fun event!

No, instead let's make everyone lose and 0.01% win something. 

Greed is good, right? Well, if you are greedy, I'm greedy too. I started playing 2021, spent ~600$ to get everything I wanted, in 2022 I spent around 200$ so far and in 2023 I will probably spend 0, because gaming company is greedy. I gladly support games I play, it's really really cheap entertainment, but 2023 money goes to other companies, because PA is too greedy imo!

At the core BDO is a flashy action combat Gatcha game. Thing is you rarely get anything good. 

If we got stuff easy ppl, there is not content to sustain the game.

Like 95% of this game is rng enhancing scam and box scams. 

No wonder places like EU are considered to BAN these type of entertainment 

I think everyone knows they are scam boxes. Nothing new. Worse than precious, yes I would agree. Don't buy them if you can't afford them.
