It finally arrived, just 2 years late but you know, it's CDPR.... But at least they deliver on their promises eventually.
We've gotten a lot of bad news lately with the Witcher, mainly Henry Cavill's leave since he was angry with the showrunners about their inability to follow source material and how they would laugh and mock the author of the series. So we lose a show, but we gained remastered of possibly the best Witcher game to date for free!
Have you guys tried it yet? I haven't, I'm waiting until Christmas vacation to give it a go. But I'm pretty Witchered out so I likely will just be trying it and not really immersing myself unless it's worth it.
Up until a few weeks ago I was playing Witcher 3 during BDO weekly maintenance. Four hours a week, so a very sedate pace. I downloaded the update as soon as I saw it, but I haven't had a chance to play since then. Looking forward to it though.
-----------
Update: Played during last maintenance, and it does look a bit better (if you aren't doing anything), but I don't know enough about the game to really notice other changes. Some controls changed a bit (running, for example).
Performance: This was after the first patch, and it was pretty bad. There was another patch today. But I think I'm going to play without the high end stuff until they get this fixed.
-----------
Update 2: After their latest patch (the third, I think), and letting GeForce experience do the settings after updating drivers, the performance is much improved. But the settings it chose were sort of middle of the road - for a RTX 3060 laptop gpu.
Bought the game couple days ago, it's definetily feels how it changed, Ray Tracing isn't working perfectly yet, but on Ultra settings it runs great, been playing like 10 hours so far, but kinda new to Witcher 3 game.

I have bought it some time ago, but haven't played it yet. I have all the 3 witcher games. So far i have only finished the first one. I recall buying the first the witcher and what kinda mess that was. Actually the game was half finished, but it was fun to play. Later on they came with the enhanced edition and owners of the original could grab a big 1.1 GB patch from slow polish servers (sciagnij or something)
You got then an updated game plus two little dlc. That's something CdProjekt Red has done all the time. They might be slow, but they care about their customers. I find it one of the better developers around, together with Larian.
The patch released a couple of days ago has made performance worse for me :( Going to have to do some tweaking again.
