Black Desert will begin in a moment.

Install the Black Desert Launcher if the game doesn't start.

Install the Black Desert Launcher to start the game.

The launcher will appear if it's installed.
If it doesn't, try to run your downloaded launcher.

Install Guide

1 Run BlackDesert_Installer_NAEU.exe to install the Black Desert launcher.

2 Start the game once installation is complete.

Movement improvements 04.01.23 - affected classes have no stopping animation anymore after running >outside combat stance<

All classes affected by the movement improvments do not move like the other classes (as announced).

After running outside combat stance without weapons drawn (not sprinting - that works fine) the stopping animation is completely missing. (Not talking about "clunkier" natural movement animations from before btw.) Since the 4th of January update Shai, Archer, Guardian, Hashashin, Nova, Corsair, Sage, Drakania and Woosa just instantly go into the standing animation as soon as one stops pressing the movement key. Looks like animations from some early 2000s game.

p sure this is literally what the patch is for. ppl wanted their char to stop where they stopped and they got it

I'm talking about outside combat stance. No weapons drawn. All other classes have had a stopping animation even before the clunkier more natural movement patch of the past.

not sure why that should matter either, since i'm pretty sure that the movement change that most players wanted also encompasses stance with no weapon out.

I do not think you know what I am talking about.
Maybe try it yourself with your Sorc, War, Witch etc. vs. your Nova, Guard, Shai, etc.
Press "W" for awhile, stop pressing the key and watch the difference.

yes, and im still pretty sure that people would rather there being no stopping animation at all vs there being any. for sure i would rather my witch stop at the exact spot that i stopped holding W rather it stagger a bit forward.

When i stop pressing a movement key, i want to stop and stay right at the that spot, so it's ok. Thank you.

I don't see how abrupt "animations" like from over a decade ago are better than fluent ones, but suit yourself.

I honestly didn't agree with all the people complaining about the newer animations with the weighted movement. Sad to see the animations ruined because of people complaining over something that wasn't a significant issue. It only made things like tending your farm or gathering a little more difficult until you got used to it.
