The game incentivizes you to grind places you overgear rather than engage with challenging and fulfilling gameplay. 

Not sure how long it'll take the devs to realize the crystal break system isn't fun and prevents full enjoyment of the PvE experience.

Everyone's build is just stack resists of whatever area you're grinding anyway, so outside of one shots or server lag who dies? How is that engaging or interesting?

So many mindbroken grind slaves who think they enjoy the game more when their crystals break. Imagine if they had a more fully realized system of risk and reward in PvE that wasn't just "Oh you lost 3 hours of grind because Girin broke. Everything is just a number, not an experience."

Why not have a bonus drop rate that instead resets on a death? An extra silver or loot prize that is kill X amount of monsters without a death to gain an extra drop.

Any developer that knows what they're doing rewards mastery of a game instead of punishing the most mundane aspects of it.

Crystal destruction only exists for Pearl Abyss to sell additional Crystal Restorations. It's that simple.

console doesn't have crystal breakage so anyone who says that unbreakable crystals would ruin the market is flat out wrong. also consider that other pieces of gear and things don't break when you die. your vell's doesn't blow up when you die, your garmoth hearts don't blow up when you die, your accessory cups don't blow up when you die, your lightstones and artifacts don't blow up when you die, and your gear doesn't blow up when you die unless you're red.

the maid/butlur group command feature once existed only to sell head maids before they got removed and the feature was made part of the game for everyone.

If they really want to keep crystal breaking, they still have to make it so it can NOT excessively punish someone who's dying because his game crashed.

The easiest way would be a system of crystal weakening : the first death would weaken some crystals, and the next death would break them if not repaired in the meanwhile (and weaken some other crystals).

The repairs could only be done with a jeweler in town, and we would need to sacrifice other crystals (not necessarily the same one) to get the materials to fix them.
