PA self publishes all regions, so they will not lose a customer if they allow transfers, but it will never happen.

They will probably say something like "because of server structur blah blah blah".

So if you want to play in an other region you have to start from the beginning again.

Yeah it would be free money for them adding some paid transfer service, but it's unlikely that they will ever add it, it would be way too hard for their competence.

I agree but realistically it would be hard for them to think of a way to achieve this because each region has a different set price. Like imagine spending $5 for a costume instead of $30 because you could just transfer data center back and forth. Perhaps there could be a one-time thing with addtional prerequisite restrictions. Otherwise, everyone would create an account on their cheapest datacenter, buy loads of stuff then pay for the transfer service fee to the datacenter of their choice.

I thought about what if they separated the shop with the main account so no matter where they go, they will keep using the same shop but that can easily be exploited and people do move to different countries so it's still necessary in a sense. Like, you could be playing BDO in NA for 2 years then you get a job in Japan and move there.

It's tough, really tough. However I think that there should be special exceptions due to war and they should just consider it part of the cost of war. For example, people from Ukraine hate Russians and Russians hate Ukraine. This won't change for some time so PA could make a special excemption for paid accounts. Russia might just need their own datacenter and thest near there could have their own too or just join up with the EU server.

It's hard to come up with a solution that would be satisfactory for a free-to-play game that relies on the cash shop for survival. It would be nice if you could transfer though.

I do think they should allow transfers if, for example, a player that lives in Europe due to work goes live in Korea for example.

The solutions to prevent abuse in this are very simple:
A)Make the cost sufficient around $50, so that there is financial involvement but it's also relatively afordable
B)Make a limitation to how often you can transfer (once in 1-2 years seems fine)
C)Make a limitation of what/how much items/wealth can be transferred over. This can be in the form of making all items untradable or Limiting Pearl/general item amount.

To be perfectly honest, I would transfer over in a heartbeat just for the fuck of it to try out new communities and gameplay approaches {and would consequently use it on cooldown to visit each, KR then NA here i come}..

I just think that PA doesn't have resources for radical changes / features like these and they are a "hard no" because they don't have the resources to pull it off.
