I'm pretty sure Deboreka accessories are part of end game progression. They must be.
Also, if we're talking about silver gains, I'm pretty sure you can't beat the areas accessible to seasonals with any end game spot (be it even Hexe or Quint), if you factor in the silver cost of gearing up. There's very little thought given to anything, it would seem, except for how to make the game more attractive for new cust...adventurers. Which is a bit mean.
I'm glad to see you got up votes for those comments. It helps to ensure the trolls are doing their job. That is one of the most absurd takes I have seen.
If you count the cost to level in those areas you can disregard the FACT they produce more silver/hr lol.
That outfit looks ugly, and crypt and ashforest are the second and first most easiest ring pices, meanwhile the hardest piece drops from literately the third best money/h spot in the game.(btw that spot also drops the outfit.)
Also hardly anyone put costumes on random alts that he newer even logs in anyway, and the 5% merc ring is not even close to the VP so thats not an alternative here.
*Shrug* well its PA's view
All the PA Dev's are inept out of touch dents anyway.
Totally have ruined this game and have no clue how to fix the damage they have done
Game crashes due to memory issues, classes totally unbalanced, DR is completely broken, Evasion and rat classes are given complete super armor for some moronic reason.
Don't give these people any money until they fix these issues, or they will continue to think they can get away with it.

The scary part is people have done in depth analysis and revealed some really harsh information. Such as comparing historic franchise games like Metal Gear and comparing their revenue to some mobile gotcha. The gotcha games end up producing more money in a single product than decades of work developing actually good games.
But remember, it doesn't effect you somehow. You know because well, because I heard that on the Internet, must be true.
merchant ring = more money from selling items
I don't know if you're aware but a part of the players who ended up having the merchant ring stopped the game..
It's so cancerous to have all the parts that you don't want to play anymore afterwards
it takes so long that in the meantime you've finished all your gear and you no longer have any reason to grind
nobody farms the ring for the 5% less tax (too late), it's only to flex and say "I finished the game"

So, what's absurd? The fact that with 0 silver spent I can make enough money to buy pet feed and carrot confits (oops! Forgot Magnus exists) and never need to gear up? I mean, I can have my grind, my "yay!" moments of dropping some treasures, my pvp on Season Arsha. Why move anywhere past it?
Or maybe the fact that I'm considering Deboreka accessories as part of the end game gear?
In case you forgot, the OP question was: what's the point of gearing up. And you say, more silver per hour. For what? To gear up? For what? To get more silver per hour? For what?
Spend 1T+ silver to be able to grind for 200M more silver per hour? Why? to recoup your investment? And then? There's no game content enticing enough for someone to enroll in such a task. The grind, the pvp, the anything, can be done with 0 investment during Season. Then, you see the bugs, the graphic mess, the desyncs and you have even less reason to continue past it. The rewards dry up, the activities are all the same (only less rewarding at times).
Whyso's question is on point. I gear up cus I wanna, knowing full well that I won't have more fun there. I also can't expect my friends to want to commit to this and, as such, if we play together, will play around the weakest gearscore of our team. For fun. And I can't say "we should all gear up, so we can do the same dungeon, only with the added risk of losing a few billions".
Silver, after all, it's just means to an end. You can't have this circular "Gear up to earn silver to gear up" as the only reason to invest in anything past the season content. Warrior's right with the Ring too, especially if your reasoning stacks to it. If you see it as a means to make more silver, then by the time you get it, you won't need silver no more.
So, yeah. Gear up for the fun of gearing up. Or for having something to do that you set yourself. Games gives barely any reason to do so.

If that is all you want out of the game you may as well just play through Seasons and uninstall the game.
BDO is designed to be a long term progession system in nearly all aspects. (Aside from the real agenda to be instant P2W avoiding literally the entire point of the game)
For those that PLAY the game, they enjoy aspects which many find boring and repetitive. Grinding ISN'T for everyone. However, if you don't enjoy grinding this probably isn't the game for you.
If you enjoy grinding/optmizing and plan to stay long term then there is value is nearly everything. PEN Manos poses the same issues at BIS PVE gear. However, you can set your own goals to whatever your time and mission allows.
Meeting the gear score requirements for areas is absolutely not optimal effeciency. I have near perfect equipment after years of progression. It produces silver every day. Both top life skill and combat gear. What is the value? The purpose? It was the enjoyment of getting there, but it's TRUE value is all it has acquired + everything it has yet to yield. It will continue to yield for years.
Path of Exile is a magnificant ARPG. At the end of the day though all you do is regrind 1-100 every season with no permanent progression. BDO is one of the few long term progression MMO's left on the market.
People are also using agris to represent silver gains that are not sustainable. New players can get a ridiculous amount of silver from Centaurs, but they are limited by Agris. The true grinders are mashing out hours at Gyin, Syc, Orcs, Hex with unlimited restriction.
There is a reason for your name. You claim you have 730 GS and low AP players are out performing you in silver/hr.
That's why your name represents the joker. No one should take your statements seriously.
learn to read and not miss the point of the post.
It's personal for everyone.
My current main goal for gearing is so I can be strong enough to do Oluns and farm the La Orzeca costume. I guess after that I'll have to set a new goal.
yea but i got my costume when oluns was released with gear thats today considered a bit better than quest reward most likely after season... and ona class that kept geting insulted for its crap pve prowess on the spot.

Yeah orzeca can be grinded on mid level gear and is not even hard to get it.
Even the ring is just a time sink, but hardly require caped gear.
