If I'm getting PK'ed (just like an hour ago), I just exit the game and do something else for a month or two, or six.

I dont care if I miss some 'event' (most rewards are cheap junk anyway). I will not retaliate because I'm not into PvP because I dont like zero-sum games. I just want to do my stuff uninterrupted.

During all this time of absence I potentially could buy something from PS, but PK of my character guarantees that I dont.

PA, try to wrap your mind around this.

See you in 6 month, maybe. No promises.

They already wrapped their mind around this, you know?

Its either they did not, or I dont understand how exactly.

If the game has mechanics that allows one group of players to "have fun" at the expence of other group ruining their days and c*-blocking from doing ingame activities, and just walk away without consequences, well, its either bad design or "this game is not for everyone".

Any person with just a little bit of self-respect will not pay a single dime to be harrassed and then just exit the game because all spots are "taken".

If I get PK I just let him kill me and press respawn and I back to thing which I were  doing.. and repeat until oponent goes red. Is not worth even to use elion tears just ignore... nobody cant do anything.. the only guy who risk something is the one who decided to pk u. Open world pvp might be fun in this game but too huge gear difference naphart camp force to karma bomb them... and after they became red, CC them to death among mobs..

That is not the best course of actions, imho. Actually, it's a trap. You see, I've been playing MMOs for quite some time, and many of those MMO come from a certaine country, and all those MMO have very distinct aspects, like open-world pvp/pk, rigged rng, artificial conflict to drag players into fueled by desire to avenge, literally no lore, no major well-known characters, bots, mindless grind, rng-based progress system, monetisation often to absurdly abusive levels, clever tricks to make people buy stuff on top on montly subscription, and so on.

I will not allow myself to be involved again in this cycle.

You game - your rules. My wallet - my rules. I can buy three (!) new different games every month on Steam instead 1 month of BDO "sub" or "sale". The most probable choice is obvious.

It is very easy to solve spot-fighting 'problem', just make any spot equally profitable, but PA dont do it for some reason, wonder why. Or make pvp consensual, like in WoW. But PA dont do it. There must be reason for it.

PS. I also restrain myself from buying anything in PS for exactly this reason, one day some individuals will have fun at my expence, and I'll just decide to "take a break" for who knows how long, making my financial investment in this game kinda lost.

I wonder what they consider to be interfering.  Note that that post is 3 years old.

The developers are satisfied with the current design of the karma system. If they werent, they would be trying to implement changes. Since none of these concerns are addressed it means that they dont seen an issue at all. If you have a problem with someone griefing your rotation, I highly encourage you to flag up and get them low so they can be fed to mobs. Once someone watches hours of their time go up in smoke because they diddnt realize they were annoying you they can reflect on their actions and become more considerate.

"As for the Karma system, we have no plans to change the system in any major way. This is because Black Desert exists as one huge field. We feel that the Karma system is a "standard" where we can distinguish between "PvP" and "PK." We will maintain a somewhat free PvP system on the field, but we want to discourage PK.

However, we've heard stories from certain regions where the Karma system is being abused. We are currently looking into an operational solution to improve on this issue."
