I just want the bounty system to be released its been on GL for almost 2 years now.

The bounty system was never released because the system was way too unfair and easy to abuse. While I'm not against something similar, the current state needs to be revised a lot before its ready to release.

They should revise it then and the whole pirate/navy system at sea.

Some of best content in BDO is player created these systems would allow more immersion.

In all seriousness, I've been wanting the bounty system to become a reality for about 4.5 years ( Maybe 5) after they talked about it.

I don't know, man something seems off with PA and BDO's development of content lately but I can't put my finger on it.

IDK why some ppl even "wait" for this useless feature. In literately every game where such system is exits it's eiter useless, dead, worthless or exploited. There is no inbetween by desing hence it' a totall waste of developer time.

But sure if enough players cry for that you get some useless bounty system to RP with, like that trade rework is, where you can pretend that you're some big bounty hunter or outlaw, I can see it getting added...

Basically a reward system for killing red/negativ karma players.

We wait for it because a polished sheriff system could be fun and get things more lively in terms of owpvp. In fact, the whole owpvp could be reworked to integrate the presence of sheriffs and remove the current flaws of the system at the same time (ie bodythrowing and mob feeding).

Anyway, it's not like there's a reason to reject it. Like the trade rework, if you take it as it is, the income is not so bad for a lazy semi-afk activity (check the rumors, find the hikes, purchase the matching items, then transport them in the next period of time, done). It is not designed to be a full time activity, wagon driving is not supposed to be as lucrative as even a medium grind spot. But yeah, clearly, they reduced the distance bonus far too much, that would be my biggest gripe.

About the topic, we should make it clear : are we talking about a "bounty" system (with rewards), or a "sheriff" system (simply allowing us to hunt red players) 

Yeah imagine how fun would it be getting harased by random players.

Or do you think runing around the map just to maybe kill a player once before he switches for a single pack worth of money is the fun?

If you think anyone with competent gear would waste his time to travel out into the nowhere to maybe kill a red player once for "bounty" then you are delusional. Some random wanable gearlet might would do it, but those lack the required gear to do, so they would quickly abadon it aswell.

Anyone who want actuall PvP can already do it, bdo PvP is just AIDS so not many care and this system would not change it either.

Not to mention that anyone who wants to roleplay such sherif or whathewer already can do it, you are free to attack red players, just ask around in the chat if someone saw one, and then you can just go there and have your "fun".

Yeah, obviously, there's no reason for you to wait for it if you decide that it will be useless and unfunny in any case.

Still, I'll allow myself not to share your pessimistic vision, there are good ways to make a sheriff system, and players waiting for it.
