Hello again fellow Forum Dwellers. It's that time again. With a few months of experience with the February 8th Changes, I've returned for some more Quality of Life / Mechanical Suggestions for Awakening Wizard (Some of these will also apply to Awakening Witch.) I'll keep the monologue brief, here's my list of suggestions:

Note: Most of these suggestions are made in the context of PVP situations. If PVE is relevant to the suggestion, it will be clarified as such.

Reason: This skill is still terrible. Its a Slow, Low damage, Short range, Small AOE, Unprotected, Cast-Bar Stiffen. Nobody ever uses this. Ever. EVERYONE locks this skill because it literally has less application than Dagger Stab. That skill is also terrible but I'll get to that later. I suggest these changes because it never feels good to just have a skill in your kit that is wasting away, waiting to have some sort of potential given to it. Alot of classes have these sort of skills, In fact, EVERY class has at least one of these sort of skills given the fact that Magnus Skills exist. Please fix this skill, It is trash.

Change Stiffness to Stun. 

Reason: This skill, similar to Residual Lightning, has very little application outside of Ranged Poke from a rooftop in places like RBF or Select terrain positions in Node Wars and Siege. The damage isn't great, it has a slow animation, Is unprotected, and has to be used after Lightning Chain. And all you get for using it is a Stiffness? Crazy. Please make this skill useful.

allow this skill to be canceled by Earthquake (Shift+F) upon attack.

Reason: Earth's Response has always been in an odd position for Awakening, It's a quick CC, and can be used in very specific combos, but otherwise sees very little use other than as a desperate half-assed movement tool. The changes proposed would make this a decent skill, while still being balanced given the added stamina cost.

EITHER Reduce Cooldown of Flow: Magical Evasion to 2 Seconds, OR make Flow: Magical Evasion an Invincible skill.

Reason: Currently one of the main clunky parts of the staff kit is its movement and lackthereof. This (and another suggestion I'll make later to my FAVORITE skill to whine about, Hint: it starts with an E.) Would greatly aid the Awakening's currently lacking mobility situation without outright giving it Split Teleport

(Believe me, I would love that instead, but it's probably never going to happen.)

Reason: Dagger Stab. The legend. The myth. The PINNACLE OF WIZARDING POTENTIAL. Ok, enough memeing. This skill is bad, and there's very little outside a full rework that could make this skill good. So, Instead of making it some crazy damage skill that does 10000000000% damage to one target, I propose this be a Movement Skill, instead.

(Notice the amount of movement buffs I and others want for this class? :] )

Allow this skill to interact with and be canceled by skills such as Earth's Response, Hellfire, Mana Absorb, Etc.

Reason: This skill is purely a damage skill. It has a Forward guard, does decent damage, and has NO Crowd Control Effect. It is slow unless cast after two skills, has its damage limited to being caster centered, and is often a simple filler skill for Succession when it (somehow) runs out of skills to throw. (This would be a buff to Succession too but I'm ok with that. Again; not a CC.)  This skill is currently very bad in the context of the Awakening kit, and doesn't interact in the same way as the majority of the other staff skills do with certain class mechanics.

Reason: Currently, Speed spell often feels like an absolute NECESSITY to be up for both Awakening & Succession, where certain combos and cancels are straight up impossible without it. This is purely an inconvenience; The skill is unprotected, has an animation lock (however brief,) and has to be up as often as possible for Awakening Wizard to not feel terrible with its already extremely slow animations.

Reason: Ladies & Gentlement, I never thought this day would come (well, I kinda did,) but, Barrage of Water has beaten Elementalization for the Awakening Wizard's  Clunkiest Skill Award! Everyone Stand up & Clap! All right, all right, Thank you for your entheusiasm. Truly.

This skill is baffling. The timing and decision making on whether or not it will use the movement section is beyond me, and has been beyond me since the skill was added.

This skill has a mind of its own. Sometimes, it will stand still, content with being a NORMAL DAMAGE SKILL and not moving you when you don't want to. Other times... it decides to move you at the least opportune times, be that when you're about to finish off a target, or just when you're trying to Super Armor trade an opponent. It is incredibly inconsistent, and every time it moves me when I don't want it to, I get closer to doing unspeakable things to my keyboard. PLEASE fix this skill. I beg of you. I IMPLORE YOU.

Reason: Elementalization. This skill is a mouthful, so I'm just going to abbreviate it as "Elem." Elem has had a rough ride as a skill throughout its lifespan, and it's SO SO CLOSE to being perfect. The primary problem is that it starts with a super armor. For some reason. Hit stagger exists, and this skill gets gang-[EXPUNGED]'d by hit stagger damn near every time I use it in any PVP situation involing more than two people. Making this an Iframe -> Super Armor would fix this issue almost entirely. Pls fix ily I will buy black spirit plushies if you do this PA I promise. I will post screenshots of receipts. I will do it.

Reason: Flow: Aqua bomb is a decent skill in a vacuum; It is a ranged Down / Air smash, which can be used to extend combos given it succeeds its 30% down smash chance.

That's cool. However, only being usable after Water sphere puts it into an awkward situation; The down smash ruins Water Sphere's Knockdown duration, instead replacing it with a Down smash duration CC. This obviously greatly limits combo potential, and could easily be fixed if this skill were usable after other skills than Water Sphere.

Also, the Air smash often pushes your target out of reach of your skills (reminder this is a pseudo-melee spec lol,) making this skill even more awkward to use.

All right, that's all; See you guys in 6 months after nothing happens.

dont worry devs will buff striker instead

but while we are on the topic,..... increase mana pool and increase mana shield uptime for awakened spec that has to be in melee and take hits.

50second speed spell??! Even if its only for caster thats some broken buff u are asking here. There are few other things that bother me with ur suggestions but this hit me different. 

Anyhow we have seen PA bad balancing before , so maybe u get lucky.

oh, and rain of fire need a bit more range even if they lower the width of attack. its actually a joke how it is now, its basically a mana battery in which u r praying to god noone punishes you until skill allows you to teleport (if u even have teleport up)

also, reduce teleprot cd by  1 lousy second for awakened spec. make it anicancel aqua jail.

if u tried doing anyhting on awaken spec without having speed spell up, ud understand how slow class is. im guessing thats rationale behind this ask. only id do it in a way that it doesnt buff succession caster as well. call me crazy :D

id also like the way to maintain awakened stance (hkeys most likely?) while casting heals, buffs and especially Protected area since succession doesnt have issues with stance swapping and awakened has.

Could also just increase our base skill speeds by 20% across the board; at least this way we're still limited (balanced?) by having to prebuff.

Awakening Guardian is slightly faster, but boy is it terrible in PvP, even worse than Awakening Wiz/Witch imo, even Awakening Wizards/Witches will stomp Awakening guardian no prob most of the time.

Succession is another story alltogether, but I'm guessing Oblivion was talking about Awakening Guardian.

I rather have Magical Evasion with iframe on 2sec CD. With this change alone, wiz could become very good cause it will increase thier chance to live.
