There are a lot of names that are over 2 years old, not in guilds, completely inactive for those years that are being held hostage essentially by people who have never made it past level 20 even. I think it would be very beneficial to the game if names were released much quicker and/or released instantly after a certain amount of time never logging on ie: 2 years.

People come back after much longer breaks than 2 years. 

Even now you get someone in the forum every couple of weeks wondering where there account went because they didn't transfer their data to PA.

Coming back to the game after a break and seeing that you are now Adventurer834761 and your characters are all Character35419 and such would make a lot of people just nope right out again.

You are not entitled to anyone's account or character name. Use your imagination.

They could be forced to make a new name upon logging in instead of given some random name like you mention.  

In regards to the "You are not entitled to anyone's character name", what makes them entitled to block those names for eternity with dead accounts?  Anyone in IT knows you deactivate dormant accounts after so much time, and in many industries deleting the accounts after so long.  

Believe they said level 20 and if you are level 20 after 2 years then yes Character376 is what ya get. Why reserve names that may be popular on level 1 characters on a dormant account? The use your imagination after 1000`s on 1000`s of people have made accounts and played for 2 or 3 days and quit is quite silly.

I agree, Even if people do not want to play the game, but they think they maybe can back in the future. There is no way, they can not find  1 minute for the whole year, just to log in the game.  if people do not log in the game for 1 year +  they just  grief other people,  Their names/family names should be change on  unknown8464584568   and send them character name/family name scrolls.  But here we also have a little problem..  Our devs are too greedy, so they can only change name, but don't send scrolls =)))

People who say that are like no, they're just on breaks for a few years, and bla bla bla,. you sound so absurd, you are literally saying you are just on break for a few years, and you love this game so much that you can't find 1 minute a year to log into the game. Just 1 minute a year =))))

Here's the official Operating Policy that states specifically that they can wipe family names after 1 year of inactivity.  Problem is, they're not following their own operating policy.  I have yet to see them post a notice about name wipes.

Agreed. Dead accounts shouldn't hold names hostages. Just free up those names.
