PVE grind spot nodes have been pretty much the same for the longest time, barring the small increase in drop rate not that long ago. The drop rate bonus is quite small, but that would make sense if every level also gave the player bonus effects such as Attack Speed %, Critical Hit Damage %, Critical Hit Chance %, etc.
And also, it makes little to no sense for nodes to require Energy investment if the activity is monster killing. Energy has no connection to PVE in any other part of the game, but it's the core part of Lifeskilling.
Change the Node levelling system from Energy investment to monster kill counts. Every level requires more monsters to be killed in that area than the previous level while also adding individual monsters in that zone to be killed a specific number of times. The higher you go, the longer it takes you to reach the next level.
An example would be giving the player a 0.5% bonus in Attack Speed, 1% Critical Hit Damage and 2.5% Critical Hit Chance at Node levels 5, 10, 15, 20, totalling at 2%, 4% and 10% at level 20 on top of the drop rate bonus that already exists.
This would add a sense of accomplishment and give players another long term goal when grinding their favourite spots. It would make the player feel like their time invested in specific monster zones would be rewarding. Energy investment feels very hollow while this would feel much more meaningful.
no, no more new systems pls
