It's not about where the lore was from, it is about the fact that the specific ask is highly offensive to the culture as a whole. While Valk and Hash are from other cultures, they do not have counterparts that are offensive to treat as the good guy. The KR culture views vampires like the ugly dracula before hollywood made them into pretty heroes over the past 30 years. I realize you really like the Twilight movie but that is not how the non western world views vampires. The entire ask is repulsive, and a waste of time to ask. I am trying to help you see that your request is a waste of time, not because it is a bad idea but because the people you are asking would just be offended the moment you asked.
Oh, geeze. Offensive? Really? Holy crap it's just a game! Also, I was never a Twilight fan. Why is it when someone so much as says the word 'vampire' Twilight is brought up? I'm old fashioned. I think of Dracula, Nosferatu, or Dark Shadows (not the one with Depp but the original). Or even the Witcher. Also you're not 'trying to help.' You're being very argumentive for no reason other than toxicity. I merely suggested a few ideas for classes. You don't like it, that's fine. I guess people have nothing better to do than bully and harass someone over a topic about a video game. Good Lord. If it's a waste of time, so be it. The whole point of the feedback forums is to present ideas for the game and have a civilized discussion with like-minded individuals. It's fine if you disagree. Everyone has their own thing that they're into. I just happen to enjoy fantasy creatures (vampires and mermaids being my favorite) and I don't see why I can't in a FANTASY game. But you don't have to be rude about it. There's a thing called tact and constructive criticism. Which, judging by your attitude, you are unaware of the concept. However, I'm out of energy and patience to educate you further. If people are offended by this topic I would think that says more about them. I mean I can totally see how fictional creatures could be seen as offensive... Didn't know discussing fictional (fictional meaning, they do not exist) creatures was so controversial. Also this game has 'dark' heroes already (Nova and Lahn) so adding a few more isn't exactly a stretch. As for your rather weak argument regarding westernization, they could always westernize vampires to fit European lore. Have them similar to the vampires in the Witcher series (which is also European in case you were wondering. Seeing as how the author of those books is Polish). As for the games, they're based off of European lore as well.
Anyway it's clear that there's no reasoning with you so, good night. Warm regards.

As for "most of the area is based on Europe" no it is not. They took real world areas and put them in black desert. They stories have been westernized and the looks have been westernized. Valencia city is a real place in spain. Velia is in Greece, Heidel is in Germany, They look very similar to their in game depiction. Thing is none of those places are offensive to the KR culture.
Last I checked Spain, Greece and Germany are in Europe...
I think Velia and Calpheon are based off of Italy. A lot of characters in those locations have Italian names. Velia is also a real city located in Italy, Rome (Not Greece). Also Europe
Calpheon was inspired by Florence. Florence, Italy. Which would be Rome. Still Europe
The only one you're correct on is Valencia being located in Spain. Which again is in...Europe.
Also Heidel is based off of France, just fyi. Which is also located in Europe... You see a theme here? I stand corrected, most of the game is based off of Europe.
Down below is the link that confirms Heidel's inspiration came from France.

Asking for a "Vampire" is like asking for a western company to make a hero out of Jack the Ripper, because a different culture has a creature that is romanticized in it's culture that they don't find offensive.
Like it or not, at the end of the day Pearl Abyss is a Korean based company with a Korean based morality set. You can ask all you want but it will not ever go anywhere because what you are asking is not just offensive but absurd to the culture you are asking.
Id like a vamire class... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kLSvyni_9s
I Feel like while that game (Diablo immortal) is lame. The idea of a "Blood Knight" basically a dark paladin like themed class, centered around vampiric abilities would be so sick in BDO. We could even get a FULL vampire zone and dark area for it, like imagine a dark and foggy chunk of the map with casltes and all sorts of themed areas?
A man can dream...
If nothing else I can continue roleplaying my Sorceress, Lahn, and Nova as vampires. Then again I roleplay pretty much all of my characters as vampires, lol. Just would be neat to have an actual vampire based class with a zone and story.
My Lahn: Countess Vampyr: Whos Weapons Serve As Fangs:
My Nova: Hollyquinn: The Blood Countess
My Sorceress: Holly Melissa: The Bringer of Darkness, Blood and Shadows Are Her Art:
ah yes more classes
ah yes more classes
I'd be happy with just two for the guys. Considering they don't have a dark caster type, or a dark knight themed class. Heck even just the customization options I mentioned. With Vampire themed Pearl items (decorations for your house as well as more vampiric themed outfits). Or if they could make vampirism contractable or unlockable through a series of quests, then they wouldn't really need to add more classes. But I'm not quite sure how that'd work. It'd be really cool if they could do that instead though. So either new classes, both male and female variants or make vampirism contractable like Elder Scrolls.
Regardless, they're going to continue to come out with new classes. They always do. They might as well be cool. =)
I just hope that if they ever do come out with vampires, that they do them right. I don't want them to get the same treatment as Corsair. Advertising a mermaid/pirate class and instead releasing aquabarbie. That'd be like advertising vampires and coming out with Twilight versions....Please no.

Except Jack the Ripper was a real person. Vampires are fictional...so your argument is invalid. Just like elves, faeries, dragons, and witches are fictional...

Fine lets say that another culture wanted to make a hero out of someone who murdered prostitutes and loose women because they think that is a noble thing to do. Because guess what, that is what vampires were originally doing by lore. They didn't "turn" their prey into Vampires until recently in vampire lore.
At the end of the day vampires are offensive to the culture that is designing the game.

For a culture that's supposedly highly offended by even the thought of vampires, they have a lot of tv shows about them...
And the vampires in their stories aren't aways seen as bad. A lot of them are about romance. They just don't have a lot of info on them because there is no folk lore in Korea about it as it originated from the West. Much like Gumiho and Kitsune folklore originated in the East. So any stories they tell, they borrow the lore from the West...
Care to try again?

Well, in all technicallity you're wrong. Because this checks every Box PA looks for in classes..
1. Fast movment? Check. Its a vampire.
2. Sex appeal/sexy outfits. Check. Vampires are sexy period
3. Can be tied into the black spirit and on going plot? Check. If they can roll maegu and woosa who even in their own story seem disjointed from the rest of the plot, this would be a non-issue.
4.Would sell tons of pearls? Check. Edgy, sexy and seductive. Vampires in a nutshell.
As for the culturual debate; I mean I guess? To be honest Im not sure their culture would stop them as we are their money maker and korea not so much. This is why all the Calpheon balls are held here and not there; We're their primary audience and we're the ones keeping the lights on. This is why they need to make us stick around; Notice LOML was not well received in the west. Also notice they're finishing because they said they would, we're getting smoking sephiroth and then we're headed straight to a gunslinger of some kind? A gunslinger is left field, could be horrendous and likely is gonna feel kind of... weird? So if they can get away with pulling that, I dont see why they cant make a vampire. Also note vampires dont need to utilize necromancy; They need to utilize blood (The game has blood all over the place as it is.) And dark magic. (Black spirit says hello!)
A necromancer exists within nova succession as those are undead minions she is summoning, but I do think a vampire can happen. Especially given its unique aeshtetic and potential movement. I also think it'd sell a ton of outfits and make PA a ton of money overall... It'd likely just have effects like we see in the quests mentioning Hadum as well in the elvia realm.
I also want to add we already have classes that most korean MMO's wouldn't touch with a thirty foot pole.
