I’ve been playing BDO for over 3 years, living through all the changes - a lot have been good; for a PC user, some not so good! My “family” consists of 7 different characters, 2 of which are at 62 level. My main complaint is that (apart from minor awakening differences) all the character classes have to progress through the same (eventually boring) main quest lines. I would like to propose the following, to make developing different character classes more interesting:
At level 49 BS tells the player that when he/she reaches level 50, a great secret will be revealed. (This will also be an incentive to take level 50). At level 50, BS then says he knows where one of the most powerful weapons in existence can be found. A quest line starts, the next quest-step being given at the next highest level (and on the condition that the previous step has been completed) until the player reaches level 61 (12 quest-steps in total). At level 61 the location of the (TET) weapon for that class is revealed. The quest-steps would be class-specific so, for each different character (class), a totally different quest-line would have to be followed.
If 12 quest-steps are considered too few, the number could be doubled, to 2 per level. The developers could ask for character-quest “plots” to be proposed by players, awarding a prize to the person who submits the “winning” plot for each class. I already have a 12 quest plot prepared for a Ranger and would be willing to make this available. Having a totally different plot for each class creates an incentive to try more classes; a TET weapon as “prize” is an added incentive and a truly powerful weapon presupposes a “tough” quest-line.
I agree with your idea: I levelled several characters through quests and despite multiple revamps of the main storyline I'm rather tired of doing the same quests over and over again.
Before Clowntteo start screeching about the grinding alternative, I probably need to point out again that BDO is supposed to offer freedom to level (at least to some degree) and that Pearl Abyss needs to make some efforts in order to improve the experience of players that choose to level their characters (again to some degree) through questing.
+1
I like that you have the vision and drive to share your idea, and I support you.
However, your ask is huge. Consider the time and resources that it takes to make this kind of story-board real.
All you can do with BDO at this point is try to inspire the current model to be better with pacing its content.

I would love for each class to have it's own unique story. They all can kinda follow the same path of the witch etc.. but how the MQ story plays out is different for each class. Like the MQ story be unique to each class and thimgs that can happen during the MQ could be slightly different for each class. You learn things that are specific to your class so that you develop a better attachment to them and learn things about them that you would not learn if you played a different Class.
I've been playing BDO since beta. I moved onto the lifeskilling areas as relentless grinding wasn't working for me.
The changes you've made over the years to enhance lifeskilling have been remarkable.
It's a shame that the trading update didn't work, it would be great to get that working again.
I'd love to see more use of the donkey, like being able to use small carts.
The buff from the donkey Krogdalo gear could be better considering the effort that has to go in to getting it. One can't just buy it from the market !
Keep working on the lifeskills, there is no other game near it in that respect and I hope to see more content in the future.
I've posted something similar about how every class follows the same exact quests, with only the awakening and a few specific quests that are class-specific. Read here:

For the merchandise, this is really random, but could you make colouring books of the characters, enemies, bosses, locations. Thought it'd be cool.

I like this idea. They already grant PEN Blackstar and TET Blackstar, so why not make a quest out of it rather than just accepting a freebie [definitely still want to keep the freebie ;) ]
I think it would be really cool if you added a character with a yo-yo as their awakening weapon! It could bring a unique and dynamic playstyle, maybe with fast, fluid combos and ranged attacks. A yo-yo could work for both offense and defense, making for a really creative and fun class. Have you ever considered adding something like this?
