PA be like after most upvoted forum post ever and EU nodewar protest be like:

Because most players outside the insane sweatlord alliance groups are actually having fun fragging out. The new system needs some fixes but it's better than what we had before. People need to stop relying on huge alliances and lockouts to get the "1v1" or "the win". It was boring AF.

I would like to express my concerns regarding the recent change to the new nodes. I believe that this change has negatively impacted the gaming experience. The duration of battles has been significantly reduced, which can lead to less satisfying and more rushed encounters.

I understand that this new content may be suitable for the Korean community, where node wars were declining. However, in NA, where this content was working well, the change has had a negative impact. I consider the previous node war system to be more suitable for our region.

Please reconsider the possibility of reverting to the previous node war system, as many players in our community share the same opinion. We believe that the previous system provided a more satisfying and balanced gaming experience.

Thank you for your attention, and I hope you will consider our feedback to enhance the experience for all players.

Sincerely, GreenBerry

P.S. PLEASE FIRE J

Its funny you claim that when most of the Players that joined the ingame protest on EU on Thursday were from t1-t3 Guilds and not from top guilds. So clearly the smaller guilds are not enjoing shit either.

Weird, on NA, the T1/T2 scene is loving the new node war system.  On Friday we had record turnout, 21 guilds on Balenos, 21 guilds on Serendia.  That's a total of 42 guilds that played in T1 (42 x 30 players = 1,260 players!).  I think a lot of guilds are enjoying this new King of the Hill system.  But as usual, the vocal minority makes it seem like everybody hates it.

It's not perfect by any means, there should be more tweaks such as no fort should be less than 30 mins, enemy structures should be removed when fort flips, and if you take a fort you should receive one fast respawn to allow you a chance to defend yourself.  Other than that, the new system is very inclusive, it lets everybody play without bs.  We already see more new guilds participating in the node war than ever before.

The old system was very exclusive, you're either in the established elite group of people where you always get the perfect scripted fights.  Or you're zerged to death within 10 minutes like welcome guests, unable to play, and locked out of wars for the week.  That or you drop on a node thinking you would get fights, then finding yourself alone.  How was that fun?

This new system simply guarantees fights, it lets everybody play, no matter if you're in a cool kids club or not.  And I don't think people understand how it works.  You don't have to sit at a fort and wait for fights, you could take multiple forts.   So if people aren't attacking you, leave a small group to scout at home and go out and take more forts if you want.  You know, like the good 'ol days.  You choose how you want to play and how you execute your strats.  We already witnessed a 3-way fight from NA's top 3 guilds, something that would've never happened with the old system.  It was exciting to watch, not sure how you could hate that.

I think there's legitimate concerns about the new system, and I can see why guilds used to perfectly scripted fights are not happy with this.  But I think with some tweaks, it can be fun for all.  I also think PA should instance the higher cap node wars so players can enjoy lagfree pvp like we saw in war of the roses.  75 vs 75 vs 75 are gonna lag something fierce, we need dedicated instances for these larger fights.

One question (don't mind me, as I am an EU player, so don't know the names of those guilds): How many guilds here on this list are actual PVP guilds and how many are PVE guilds, placed just for PVE buffs?

Trauma is actually an alliance, one of the stronger ones in T1.  I don't know about the others, but I have friends in some of the PvX guilds that actually started doing node wars because they actually get to play some pvp with this system.  Where as before, they were always zerged and locked out within 10 mins, it wasn't fun.

There are some smaller guilds that sign up just to get some open world rbf, and they have their own fun knowing they prob won't win a fort.  Again, with the previous system, these guilds wouldn't last 10 mins, it's why the T1/T2 scene was pretty dead for awhile.  And largely why the PvP scene in BDO has just been recycled players in different guild names, because new guilds just don't get a chance to grow.

I get that this system isn't ideal for guilds with established setup fights, and guilds used to winning don't like losing to last hit mechs.  Maybe in the perfect world we could have both systems separate and split in days so sometimes it's the new system, sometimes it's the old.  Kinda like what Choice suggested.

This is exactly the problem I mentioned above. You could name one alliance in this list which is an actual T1 alliance. Do you think the rest of those PVE/X guilds care about PVP? Absolutely not. They just placed for rewards. The same happened with Guild League when we needed to farm sailing/lifeskill guilds, as they came for cron stones. You have Reddit posts of PVE guilds encouraging other lifeskills and PVE guilds to place snipes for rewards. This is a problem because PA sees the numbers in NW and thinks, "Oh look, the numbers went up for NW; people are enjoying it," while the reality is that they totally messed up the entire system. Everyone can play games how they want, but BDO was (at least at the beginning) an OWPVP Sandbox. Now it is just one big joke. The changes that are coming in each patch regarding PVP are going from bad to worse, and people are quitting the game. It is sad to watch.

The Number of guilds participating Just means that all the Snipe guilds are coming out for the rewards.

This is what is happening ^^ but PA won't look past the numbers participating and say that its working as intented.

Now remove the participation rewards, see how many guilds will join.
