Now that Steam works with Linux and you have a client that uses Linux you should be able to release a non-steam Linux Client.
With the US and Collective West heading towards War with China and Russia (possibly Iran too) simultaneously the ability to have a machine that can continue to log onto BDO is going to become increasingly difficult.
Microsft has turned Windows 11 into a glorified Spybot, but also destoryed most of the functionality that makes a PC useful as a work computer.
In the very near future you will find a lot of your top-end players may only use a PC for gaming because it is not viable for work.
For other players this will simply be prohibitively expensive.
Currently it will cost those who have to choose roughly $2000 dollars to get another computer equivellent to their current one to keep playing.
This is simply because you won't provide a Linux based log in option.
In the future this decision will box your player base into the "haves" and the "have nots" when this situation is artificial.
Please consider getting Linux based option available before 2025.
Especially for those of us who will be stuck having to otherwise have multiple machines. Not just because gaming, but simply because tech shifts will force no compromise.
Thanks

There is no bdo linux client for steam!
Some are already playing bdo on linux but this got nothing to do with steam! They simply just use the windows client!
If you choose to use Linux, you should be aware that developers don't have the time to dedicate support to it. There are lots of anecdotes from other developers who tried to maintain Linux versions of games only to realize it isn't worth it because of the extremely small playerbase. It usually ends up with absurd amounts of bugs that aren't financially worth fixing for a platform no one plays on, especially when time can be used for improving the game for 99% of players instead.
