For example, if the Magnus questline has already been completed on one character, it would still appear in the "Main" quest tab on a second character, but not in this new "All" quest tab (placeholder name). This new tab would streamline progression by making it easier to see which quests are entirely new and haven't been completed by any character across the account.
Additionally, I suggest that all quest-related unlocks be made account-wide. For instance, with the introduction of the Seoul pre-quest that requires the completion of the LOML questline, this requirement is currently tied to the specific character that finished LOML. This means players need to check all of their alternate characters to figure out which one completed the questline, then either complete the Seoul pre-quest (and potentially the entire Seoul story) on that same character or be forced to redo the entire LOML questline on a different character before being allowed to proceed with the Seoul pre-quest.
Making questline progression and unlocks account-wide would significantly improve quality of life, reduce unnecessary repetition, and make it easier for players who enjoy playing multiple characters to do so without worrying about which character completed what quest.
just found yet another reason to why this would be great.
I have a few old characters that were made before any of the main quests got reworked, currently the zerker I'm playing on, didn't even start the first quest in the Balenos chain, so I thought "I'll just get that done to velia, use the simplified option and be done instantly" (that characters is lvl 61 and is my main currently).
I got to velia, talked to Alustin, and suddenly I couldn't progress, the opttion of choosing the normal or the simplified route didn't show up, the "Navigate" button opened black spirit, but he didn't have any quests other then loml, winter, and O'dylita.
I contacted support which guided me through it, apparrently I already did the old questline half way through calpheon, so I had to finish the old calpheon questline to unlock the Mediah questline...
now I have (as I understand it) the old Mediah questline, the new Mediah questline, and the new Serendia questline... this is getting rly confusing, and it's more an issue on the backend of the game, but;
having an "All" quest tab which simply hides whatever you have completed previously on another character and having the quest related unlocks be Account wide would be a simple quick fix to buggs like this.
I only care about doing the quests on the zerker so that I don't have those kind of issues like; "oh damnit, which character had unlocked crafting the gloves again?", but now that I have the same questline 2-3 times and some of them being kinda broken and not rly giving me any indication of which one I have to follow to actually progress properly without something breaking on the backend is getting extremely dificult.
I would also like to see list of all quests I didn't complete on character and on family.
Me and I know some people would like to finish 100% quests on one character (don't care about any other char) so such list with quests that I didn't complete would be perfect. Add switch between character quests and family quests. It don't even need to contains description, just a name of quest, type and complete/incomplete. And exclude repeatable/daily/weekly quests ofc
And for that people some small rewards - title for 50% quest completion, 100% etc would be also a really nice addition that would for sure encourage some people.

Isn't the simplified option only available to Seasonal characters?
Isn't the simplified option only available to Seasonal characters?
Not anymore. It is now available to all characters
Isn't the simplified option only available to Seasonal characters?
as Minarya mentioned, it is for every single character now, but there's still the issue for every character that was created before this became an option, that those characters most likely never get this option if they just did a single quest behond the point where u first interact with Alustin in Velia.
talked to support about that issue 2-3 times now and they always just state "it's not possible", souuu, they probably have no plans on fixing it.
