I'm stuck on the first part of the quest starting quest where I need an Item from Sangoon, I haven't done any  calamity on Sangoon, now I have to wait till Sunday to get the reward to progress the quest ? I find it a bit absurd to  be like that. Anyone has any other ideas on how to progress it before Sunday ?

Which quest is it? I can't remember there being a requirement to do the boss shrine in the questline (afaik it's separate from that completely). If you tell me the specific quest, I can check what the requirement is. 

hi  the other day i had the same issue,

just for kicks i went to where sangoon was and he appeared and i fought him, you get the item after you defeat him

i went back to the quest giver and was able to continue the chain

so hit you map and travel to where sangoon is , its worth a try, i didnt have to open the boss blitz page at all

just make sure your aura is setup for the fight
