I think as new players as veteran players are very negatively affected with current state of game.
Beside trash loot, items like accessories, caphras, memory fragments gradually dropped in value.
I believe it is really hard for Tuvala Timmy to suddenly start making crazy money, considering that most of the items they loot is useless and sits on minimum market price. Pretty much current debo fate as well.
I don't mind brainded grind, p2w, making easy catch-ups for new people.
Just balance it, test it, make new builds for pve and pvp with existing items, so people are not pointed to a very narrow progression path in such a vast game.
Feedback forum is full of interesting suggestions of all kind. I think feedback is often unheard, or it is heard, but can't be helped, and that necessary changes are taking too long to introduce.
I honestly don't think people really care much anymore, those that did left the game leaving some of us stragglers that really are bearly logging in as is.
The new content is oh hum....
I know I am going to get down voted but literally the decline is so obvious at this point your insane if you don't see it.
Not even trying to be a doomsdayer, 3 days after a new area, new weapons, new accessories AND the holy grail of PVE content literally has not even gotten out of negative numbers...
After all the influx of players grabbing there sovereign weps in case PA changes the ability to use 2 BS.. most will wait till the market is flooded with new enhancement mats and then buy some to spam.
I realize that steam numbers are not 100% of the community but they are around 50%.
The 1st time in the history of this game that new area not only fell flat but couldn't bring avg players back to BDO.
CASH GRAB, Whatever you want to say but I think a certain head of the development dept. needs to resign and allow a new direction to come to be.
^This right here. Players are quitting the game in DROVES and the devs (as well as some gamers) still insist that the game is fine. They need to stop making empty promises and actually work on improving the game! Fix, improve, and balance the content we already have (including classes) and add things people have actually been asking for, for years. Sadly they've proven time and again they simply do not care about their community. I understand you can't please everyone as that would be impossible. But actually listen to the damn numbers and playerbase for once! I honestly can't even be bothered to reinstall the game not even with the new 'content.' I just read the forums and bdo updates/announcements in hopes that they'll do something (something other than kill the game).
did people play wukong instead black desert in august and september ??
and did wow release a new expand this month or in august ?
also it seem they forget to dub the new area, they only talk in korean
I think there is a voice actors strike or something going on with the english speaking voice actors so they decided to give us the content with the korean voices instead of waiting for the strike to end.

would love AI dub in black desert

At this point the only thing really worth grinding for money wise is trash loot....
Thank god the market for this can never crash.
Now they've allowed the dumping of the Deboreka accessories into the market as prizes for even mediocre performances on the Boss Blitzes, basically shafting everyone who worked so hard to get them. PA should stop handing this stuff out like candy as a way to entice people to do new content. How about making the content fun enough to draw people in, instead?
Time after time after time, PA continues to value new customers over loyal veteran customers, shafting the latter in order to placate the former. It's short term gimmick that kills every business that tries it. J is the worst business person I've ever seen at a company of this size, and I've coached many and I've run 300M to 1.3 Billion size businesses. He hasn't a clue about how to run a business.

Yep. Not one crowded server after this massive expansion. The content is garbage and it's clearly designed to soak players into spending money on pearls to get their Dec weapons. People aren't taking the bait.
At this point the only thing really worth grinding for money wise is trash loot....

Yup, trash loot be it... for now :d
Non-pvp players, are often complaining that they have to dfs or be forcefully killed if they refuse dueling.
What was done to improve that situation?
From good things, I'd mention making marni realm more available, or limiting best spots with agris, so player would have to go to other non-agris grind or do some other kind of activity. That allowed players to find more peace if they want to just grind unbothered, and as well created a player's switch on top agris spots. Shortening the time to swap servers, and adding guild ones, was an awesome change too.
They as well removed one side war decs, and introduced more penalties for being an aggressor in forced pvp mode, like a family wide karma system. The red players, and the ones who will force kill you anyway, for fun, to protect their grindspot or dfs you when u refuse and there are no other servers free for that one grindspot - not much changes for these players. Pentalties are very one-sided.
Were that good changes? I'm not fully convinced. They created a strange dimension where players that don't want to pvp will just jump your grind and grief you because they can, or to piss you off, or just take you out of your spot without pvp. I find it so unmannered.
Just going to arsha is not solution for everything.
Why no marni realm for party yet?
Why no marni for new regions yet?
Why dekhia spots so limited to few slots per server only?
^all that looks like design of spots to be made contested for, which conflicts so much with idea of shifting pvp interactions in open world, to only controlled and mostly capped pvp activities like AoS, Rbf etc. At least now people enjoy Guild League, in big part for being uncapped and just in good size to not break the server.
They could go 10 different ways about it, but instead they chose to kill pvp at the cost of solo pve, instead providing more options for both communities.
I have 55k+ hours played, it never felt so bland, so very much yes - I feel sad/concerned about current state of game.
I uninstalled the game today.
As a pure PvE Player I enjoyed grinding for accessoires. The dopamine spike was the reason I geared up to try new spots to drop more expensive accessoires. I grinded in Thornwood when I barely had 270 AP and made my PEN blackstar out of the rings there. Lots of Specter energy and Ring jumps of joy. When I dropped my first Deboreka Necklace that was a huuge Dopamine spike. A breakthrough in the late game. I was that one guy who sold Base Deborekas at max. price. Thousends of pre-Orders. A true paradise for Ash Forest enjoyers. Now the market is flooded with best in slot accessoires every week.
The accessoires prices dropping that hard will result in more dead spots. People will move to trash-loot-spots wich I dont enjoy. I hate Troll or Orks. Im not a very efficent grinder anyway as a awk. warrior Im always below average in trashloot. Maybe im just trash. With accessoires beeing worthless the dopamine spike has gone. I feel nothing anymore.
No more dopamine from accessoires means grinding is not fun anymore (for me) wich means I uninstalled the game. It was a nice jorney. I reached 730 GS. The glue of dopamine holds us no longer together... Bye Bye BlackDesert and I still wish you to rise up again one day from the ashes. Untill then. I´m gone.
Dont forget to have fun and one day the servers will be shut down forever.

are these steam numbers? because you should know there's the non-steam client too... just saying before ya all go doom and gloom, player numbers drop every year at this time :)
