bye bdo, thx for all thoses years ( before DR and nw patch )
I make a half-hearted decision around take a break or quite after see latest winter keynot because PA add pity system to this game but PA not have any compensate for old/veteran players who have failed to enhance many times since before this system release. And now after Sov weapon release it made me clear.

PA was already greedy, but these last stages of the game are some of the worst decisions in the history of gaming. BDO now caters to essentially no one and has no target audience. The claim is for "casuals", but the practical reality is it won't even support them.
It's clear PA abandoned BDO for Crimson a while back, but even with that being the case none of this makes sense. The market is obviously destroyed as the BIS equipment is the only option. Which ruins it for those so called casual players they are supposed to cater to now. Those casuals won't be cash shop mashing their way to the top. Neither will the whales in a dead game. It's literally for no one.
The siege and PVP balance is worse than ever. I knew years ago the best PA could do is 1 shot meta. As terrible as it is it was the right choice as their incompetence would only lead to worse problems if they tried anything differently. You would just ruin the game with 100-0 fights. Whether it's broken classes, gear diparity, exploits, FPS tricks, hacking other otherwise. The only options where terrible and even worse.
1 shot meta seems bad, and it is, but when you put it against things like complete zerker domination or the newly released class dominating everyone it's still better.
The game has been bad for a while, but it's shocking just how quickly PA ruined nearly every aspect of the game when these things are so easy to manage. Runescape will have 50x the player base of BDO.
People already have X:Sov. Weapons in less than 24h.
When I enchanced my PEN Blackstar I was over the moon. Finally I had something to show. Now everybody get one for free.
And that´s nothing. Imagine those people who had to enchance Deboreka with Cron-Stones. It doesnt matter how much you play the game. Tuvala-Timmy will always start just one step behind you. Whats next? Hmm I guess now that I have a PEN: Deboreka Necklace Tuvala-Timmy gets one TET Deboreka-Box for free?
Why buying Deboreka now if you can wait for min. price? Playing the game is like buying stocks that are about to go down.
I had no problem with braindead grinding. I have problems with items beeing worthless after a while and giving people too much for free.
Imagine you grinding in Valencia and your character is jumping beacuse you dropped a 4 million ring. Gratulations, your dopamine level increased by 0,00005%. I remember grinding normal crescent shrine. I loved it! Opening those spoiled rings was exciting. People can just skip everything. Why bother with oger if you can go straight to deboreka. Imagine if you can evolve PEN: Crescent ring into a better version like Deboreka Ring and you can enchance it like armors after that, with memory frags and some rare materials.
The Accessoire enchancement is EXTREMLY TOXIC. All my PEN Accessoires I made by buying TETs and using a huge failstack to PEN it just beacuse I wanted my name on it.
The Anvil-System was a huuuge WIN.
I dont want to invest more time in this game just to see Tuvala-Timmy getting everything for free.
The PEN:Blackstar was too much. If Tuvala-Timmy gets lucky with the TET Blackstar he can jump right into Sov. Weapon. Thats insane.
How long exactly did it take you to realize you were being milked all along? lol I dont disagree with your sentiments but still... Like... it was obvious the whole time
The steam numbers are the only accuarate ones. And basiacly shows the best results. The reality(including all players) is way worse. Its not 100% accurate but just take a look:

If this site is even half accurate it makes interesting reading. If you take a longer approach and look at the stat "Active Players over Last Year", for BDO there was a peak of around 450k players back around February then a steep decline to around 20k ish by May...and it has remained pretty stable since then.
Compare some other top MMOs in same list..
WOW..2mill active players around turn of the year...currently around 490k.
FFXIV..1 mill at turn of year...currently around 200k.
Elder Scrolls Online...470k at turn of year...currently around 20k.
Make of that what you will.

How Many People Play Black Desert Online?
We estimate the daily player count of Black Desert Online to be 21,754, with a total player base of 13,470,262.
I did my own research with a cat.
We estimate the daily player count of Black Desert Online to be abysmal and dropping fast while all their customers shift to Throne & Liberty. We access the MAJORITY of the player count to be AFK people not really even participating with the game or interacting.
