Why is it that the development team waste time on these updates/fixes to make them just as bad or not worth doing?

Is the team really out of touch with how to balance certain aspects of the game to make them worth doing.

Even with these changes the lakiaro are still not worth doing for the energys or the money from it. At least make the energys guaranteed drop on each lakiaro done given the time it takes to do these (which even then wont make it better then majority of the grinding/other lifeskills available).

I understand the intention behind this update, but unfortunately, it hasn't made the Lakiaro any more viable. The time investment required still outweighs the minimal reward, as the low yield isn't enough to justify the effort (even if it was increased by 5x I don't think anyone would even bother with it). While the concept behind the change was positive, the practical impact is so insignificant that it feels like nothing has really changed.

Poorly translated into korean:
이 업데이트의 의도는 충분히 이해하지만, 안타깝게도 라키아로의 활용성에는 전혀 개선이 없었습니다. 시간 투자 대비 보상이 여전히 너무 적어서 그 노력이 전혀 가치가 없습니다. (보상이 5배로 증가하더라도 아무도 시도하지 않을 것 같습니다.) 변화의 취지는 긍정적이었으나, 실제 효과는 너무 미미해서 변화가 있었다고 느끼기조차 어렵습니다.

its cheaper to do the bare minimum to say you're doing something,  I think pearl abyss has like 5 or 6 people actually working on bdo PC development and the rest of their hundreds of employees are assigned to different projects.  AFAIK this game has more GMs and CMs than actual developers. With the resources pearl abyss has they should be able to crank out a new continent every quarter but they arent since despite BDO being their only source of revenue across all platforms they put the least amount of resources into their revenue generator.   Pearl Abyss is doing the opposite of whats normal for any corporation.

Imagine having 2k gathering mastery for a solid 4 years.

October 2nd 2024, PA decides to update the Lakiaro content.

Mastery still does'nt matter for Lakairo. It's a total joke to have. 

Still doesnt make even half of what you can make just weedwacking at Behr in regards of silver/hour.

I'd love for them to do a bit of analysis and see how many people interact with Lakiaro in a week for before and after the change but I think it's safe to assume they don't track anything. I'd be willing to bet it'd be less than 5 people before and probably will go back to that after a week or two.

Honestly, I think they just don't realize that kind of game they've made.

It's not a game primarily about story or mechanics (not to say sometimes they don't go good work there), it's a game about infinite progression and that progession is 100%, directly related to how much silver per hour your character can generate.

In the end, if I can start a brand new account, faceroll my keyboard through a seasonal character for a day then endup grinding for 1+ bil by the end of the week with no effort, why would I waste time doing something that gets me a fraction of the results?  You are hurting your own interests in a significant manner if you do these "revamped" things they keep bringing out.  Very little of it is particularly fun either, so you can't even tell yourself it's 'ok' if its lacking a little bit because its enjoyable.

I don't understand why they seem to be so shocked when this stuff is D.O.A.   Until they get over this obsession where they can't let seem to allow lifeskills or other non-grinding content even approach a third of the silver output of grinding, they are just wasting theirs and ours time and might as well not waste the development hours.

These types of things do not need to compete with grinding and other lifeskills but they need to be relatively close to silver per hour gained if they expect people to use this type of content.

Making certain items obtainable is one way to entice people but when those certain items are almost near impossible to still get it makes it a waste of time and not worth attempting.

I still firmly believe that BDOs development cycle is like Nick Rekieta's lifecycle involving copius amounts of alcohol and some facinating substances.
