Family Name: Mennan

Region (NA/EU): EU

Suggestions/Comments: I've tried to do some cooking and alchemy as of now I'm Artisan 7 at cooking and Professional 9 at alchemy, my question is it doesn't make any profit. I've heard at some point you start to make profit out of it like in "guru" but when you think about how hard it is to become guru it is not a wise decision, so I'm guessing that's why people don't do the recipes by themselves and they all buy from central market. As of now the EU central market is out of Marvelous Balacs Lunchbox / Marvelous Eliton Meal and there are bunch of pre-orders on them with the highest price possible which is 20m. But my point is in order to make them you need bunch of materials and they all cost more than 20m. Like apart from making the Balacs Lunchbox, 1 Ouk Pill of Time and Tide costs 20m right now on EU central market (which is needed to make Marvelous meals). So after all that, if you count the %15 tax from the central market game literally punishes you for making something useful for you and other players and trying to play the game via cooking (lifeskilling). Let's say you wasted all your time and materials (or bought from central market) what is it that you get from cooking? From my own experience you get nothing, also on top of that you lose your money (again if you dont count the time you spent on making them). And what if you want to sell them to help other players not waste time? Well then I guess the game devs doesn't say it directly but they laugh at you? Like why on earth would someone want to spend their precious time and money to make some dish that doesn't make profit but on top of all that, wastes your money and in the end of the day you're at - silver and - time for nothing? My suggestion is make it in a way that products, even if you're beginner or not, make profit, the higher the rank the higher the profit. Would it really hurt PA to make the meals cost a bit more? like if the cost is 25-30m why is the meal 20m on central market? make it 40-50m so after spending all the time and materials I can feel I made the profit and didn't waste my time lifeskilling instead of grinding PvE?

lifeskills do make profit, but you need lots of set up and upfront investment (silver AND Pearls), on top its not (in order to do good profits) a afk/semi afk hobby.

dont think about profits if you like to enjoy lifeskilling, you can get green numbers with little effort, but dont compare that with grinding.

They really need to review some of the prices so that the max price of an item is higher than the max price of its components.  That doesn't mean it'll always be worth it to make something if the current price is fluctuating for other reasons, but at least it will make economic sense to crafts certain items to sell.
